The second round of the tournament ended in the same way: a crushing defeat for the Normans. More heavily armed than the Bretons, they had the misfortune to get stuck in a stream that made their lances more cumbersome than murderous. The proud Celtic, meanwhile, found their light spears very practical in this environment.

Solemnace's Arab(Umayyad) 685CE-750CE defeats Rockmanbob123's Breton 580CE-931CE 44-19

The Bretons brought a horde of light horse to support a more limited amount of light spear cavalry to try and overwhelm the Arabs with horse thrown javelins to claim victory. Arguably they brought far too many and the Arab Bedouin Light horse and Armored Muslim Lancers cut a swath through the Breton Light horse inflicting massive losses on them driving many from the field before the arrival of the rest of the Breton Cavalry stabilized the situation. While the Breton cavalry did significant damage to the mounted Arab contingent the bulk of the Arab strength was in their spearmen and foot missile troops for which the Bretons ultimately had no answer and suffering heavy losses were driven from the field.

ThatUglyGuy (Lusitanian) defeats SirMichael (Roman) 70-44

The sole win for Lusitanians this tournament.

The Romans surprised me by appearing full force through the somewhat rough terrain on the hill, the extreme right flank routed almost without a fight.
While the survivors of the right flank were fighting and dying for a foothold on top of the hill, the center and left made short work of the opponents on the plain and came streaming up the hill just in time to prove decisive.

hscic defeated jolibois77 in both games Neo-Hittite/Aramaen v Egyptian 40-12 55-26.
The first battle was essentially a clash of infantry, in which Egyptian superiority prevailed over the Neo-Hittite numerical advantage. The second consisted of an asymmetric confrontation between the solid Egyptian infantry and the mobile, mounted Neo-Hittite forces. In this second scenario, the Neo-Hittites, thanks to their mobility and firepower, managed to overcome their opponents. Thanks to Jolibois77 for the two hard-fought games.

Division E

Chris Townsend's Germans defeat SawyerK's Slaves 63 to 36.

The wide ranging battle got quite chaotic with all the undisciplined infantry pursuing in all directions!

In the end, the slaves morale collapsed just before they could rout another few warriors, and the survivors will be rounded up and sold to Rome!
