Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
No... it takes a helmet, a shield, a sharp sword, and the heart of a true warrior.

An experiment. I haven't tried it, it could work, it could be a disaster

thank you very much for all the work and effort you put into this.

Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
I’ve just implemented and tested the axe-swing animation; it turned out really well and visually looks just like a real axe blow. I’m going to tweak the axe itself a bit, though—in my view, it needs to be slightly smaller and positioned closer to the front of the unit. That said, the size is perfect for my Etruscan "problem solvers."

.
Perhaps this one will be better, i filled an additional 9 frames with the axe but i am not sure if this will interfere with the damage animation of the opposing unit.

Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
Here are my new gladiator units as well as the Republican Legions. I have also added Roman auxiliary cavalry and Roman city guards.
Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
Here are the corresponding BigUnit graphics.
Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
And finally, here are the equipment, EFX, sound, and animation files. Also included is the new axe-swing animation, which I have refined a little further. Many thanks to Nikivdd for the excellent original template!

Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
Lentulus Batiatus should of course not be missing either. At the moment, however, the unit does not have a sound file yet.

Why, Toby, is the game still haunting you? ))) I thought you quit your job as a mod creator for Panzer Corps.Tobi72 wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 5:25 pm And finally, here are the equipment, EFX, sound, and animation files. Re: SPQR: March of the Eagles
That is true – for reasons of time and other circumstances, there will be no new Panzer Corps content from me. On the previous page, I replied to a post by Imeror, since he had actively worked on content for this mod himself. As I had meanwhile finished the Republican Legion units and the gladiators, I offered to make these files available to him in case he was still interested in working on this subject and wanted to continue using them. After that, I thought I might as well make them available to everyone else who would like to create their own content for SPQR – whether simply for private use or for publication. That way, the units can at least still be put to good use.bondjamesbond wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 12:40 amWhy, Toby, is the game still haunting you? ))) I thought you quit your job as a mod creator for Panzer Corps.Tobi72 wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 5:25 pm And finally, here are the equipment, EFX, sound, and animation files. P.S. I still play Panzer Corps and occasionally do a little work on it as well.
