Very good list - well done. When you posted your previous list, I was thinking the most useful aspect is not the overall rating of heroes (as you usually can't choose them) but rather what unit type they are best assigned to (as that's what you can choose), so having that column on the sheet was very useful.

I don't disagree with many of the assessments. I read somewhere that fighters in particular benefit from heroes that give attack, defence or initiative bonuses as fighter vs fighter combat is often quite closely matched, so every edge is useful. With ground units, you can often use rock-paper-scissors or suppression to get an edge but not typically with air combat. Similarly, I tend to put no retailiation on my best fighter to help get air superiority. I find the entrenchment busting heroes can be good on fighters, as such units are rather wasted after you have won air supremacy.

It's a minority view, but I rather like vigilant on infantry units. Yes, it's great on tanks but tanks are great anyway in open terrain whereas infantry often struggles to do the job it's supposed to do (fight in close terrain). Non-engineers having to use their close defence makes them rather squishy as defenders of close terrain. (You could exclusively use engineers but I like more historical OOBs). I might have gotten the idea from Azul infantry, which are prized because they have some close defence. I also like unyielding on infantry - again it makes them much more sturdy as defenders and also in assaulting strongly defended positions.

If you wanted to take this further, you could have another sheet listing good hero combos, perhaps specific to unit classes.

My aim for these spreadsheets was more aimed toward beginners or casual players who want to assign a hero quickly to their troop knowing the hero will do something useful, or not waste too much time looking on the web. Also, to share some of my knowledge of the game.

Yes, I could do a combo spreadsheet, but I honestly think i would do players a disfavour, as finding the right combos can be fun. I also don't want to give away the game breaking ones

If the spreadsheets serve anyone, then i am happy! They might just become dusty relics.
