I think that the additional solo scenarios offered for everyone will have a connection with the Russians

You started the politics with mentioning a victory so great, that you don't even put a capital letter there.bondjamesbond wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 3:34 pm Treat your dead head, you fool )))
Well liberals always think that the drug addicted maniac Adolf was better ))))) And so less politics more game !!!! You can always discuss and slander the great victory as well as your flud about the prison of the peoples on your other profile forums among your fellow minds !
And a soviet legacy so tough that you have a cultural Anglo-Saxon nickname and Goodwins Law comes in almost immediately.

This post is turning to vinegar
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
Well this thread got me thinking - what the hell am I doing here? And I came up with three simple facts:
1. I’m all up for wargames being accurate. I have no problems with swastikas and red flags if they are accurate, and I’m also not a fan of adding gay people or people of colour when in reality nothing like this happened back then. Lots of wars were fight largely by white males, so no drama here. It is what it is.
2. USSR was not glorious. It was one of the countries that started WW2 together with the nazis. It was betrayed by the nazis and managed to fight back largely due to Allied support. And just as WW2 ended it occupied a huge part of Europe and started the Cold War. Mr. Uzbek here is clearly a product of Soviet/Russian propaganda, so it’s hard for him to acknowledge these truths and he’ll just push his own agenda drop-by-drop, accusing everybody else to be nazis and liberals.
3. And I’m all up for keeping the politics out. Ir tomorrow a big Wehrmacht expansion goes live and someone comes here and posts something like “Hey, thanks for respecting the proper champions, guys.” I will greet him with the same hostility. There’s nothing cool about cheering for autocracies, tyrannies and all the wrong shit humanity did along the way.
So yes — let’s keep politics our and let’s not cheer for glorious victories committed by rather inglorious countries.

We have rules on civil behaviour here, and if you can't follow them, you'll leave me little choice but to apply restrictions to your accounts.

All good, mate. I'll go back to Battlesector since the tanks are way cooler there)
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
only 9 missions though? I hope at least the latter scenarios will represent the deep battle doctrine.

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
Again, I'd gladly pay twice as much for double the number of scenarios. I don't think the average age of the player for this game is 8 years old and $10 is going to break the bank whereas $5 isn't. Longer DLCs/campaigns also offer more replay value too, IMO.terminator wrote: ↑Sun Oct 26, 2025 7:41 amSame number of missions as in Panzer Corps 2: Elite - Ghost Division for the same price.
Longer/bigger scenarios help, but are still not a substitute. I do not always want a super long/big scenario one after the other. I thought AO did a pretty good job with mixing it up, though some more key long battles were in order (Stalingrad more on the order of what was done in PC1 GC).

I don’t always have much time to play and this format with 9 scenarios suits me well.
Larger scenarios bring a strategic dimension that smaller scenarios do not have.
If you add the price of all the DLCs, we arrive at €153.25.

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
The price point and lower scenario count is fine. There can be multiple DLC types with different focus that coexist. We have this small, focused Elite series, there's Frontlines with its standard size, there are now linked campaigns in the works that we know of and then there's also the potential for return of War Stories and Axis Operations. I don't see how every DLC has to follow the same philosophy. The game would not evolve and improve otherwise.
As for combined DLC price, true, it is massive. But then again, these are not meant to be played and bought all at once. They just pile up over time depending on the player's pace and preference.

Simple facts are often a problem. I don't know how many "happy people"sidxartxa wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 6:40 am Well this thread got me thinking - what the hell am I doing here? And I came up with three simple facts:

I do know that more than a fair few "people of colour" (I was pink-ish, last time looked) fought in it. The largest all volunteer army was from the Indian Subcontinent. So sometimes it is not what it is!
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
As for the first point - well, let's say that Alan Turing broke the Enigma code and eventually he was murdered by his own state for being gay.Brenmusik wrote: ↑Tue Oct 28, 2025 11:09 am Simple facts are often a problem. As for people of any colour - I'm all up for seeing them properly depicted in regions where they actually participated. That's historical accuracy and it's my thing.
The only thing I'm not okay is - falsification and twisting of history. My great-grandfather fought in WW2 on the soviet side, one of my great-granduncles was murdered by the nazis, and all of my elder generation lived through WW2 and German occupation. Nothing was glorious about any of it. So sometimes it is what it is)

Oh dear, we're nearing the rabbit hole "murdered by his own state" really? I had read, he committed suicide by eating a poisoned apple. Clearly, I am mistaken and bow before your superior knowledge on the subject.
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
No idea why you keep dragging it. There are multiple official apologies for this "poisoned apple" and I don't have any superior knowledge here, just general knowledge about the history of personal computers.
