efficiency not recovered?
Hi, I have sth weird going on. A tank has been standing in a forest for some time and it's not recovering efficiency.
1. It has enough supply.
2. It has not been attacked
3. It has not performed any action whatsoever
4. It is next to an enemy, but that's normally not a problem
Any idea?
Thanks

Re: efficiency not recovered?
No 4 will slow down efficiency recovering. Maybe tanks and artillery/AT/AA generally recovers slower as well.
And terrain other than clear types may restrict recovery further. Lots of guessing here

Re: efficiency not recovered?
Really?
I thought efficiency always recovers by 7 points when a unit is not active and only replenishes or upgrades, or just doesn't do anything.

Yeah I'm not familar with adjacent enemy units stopping efficiency recovery. Hmm. I don't suppose the unit has the "unreliable" trait by any chance? Although even if it did possess that (I'm mostly asking because you said it was a tank) I believe it should still recover when it does nothing. Could be it was attacked but by something you didn't notice like artillery.

Re: efficiency not recovered?
I am almost sure it was not attacked. It even happened two turns after each other that it didn't recover.. So it shouldn't be happening right? And it didn't have any special traits. Re: efficiency not recovered?
My understanding is that any adjacent enemy activity will prevent recovery of efficiency, a unit doesn't need to be attacked. So an enemy just moving adjacent will do it.
I don't fully understand the mechanics but have seen this problem often enough that if the enemy unit can not be eliminated then I pull my unit back off the front line to give it a chance to recover.

Yeah seems to be the case. Efficiency only recovers by 7 if you don't do anything and are in the rear. Changing gun elevation doesn't influence it though, I thinkBobster66 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 5:46 am My understanding is that any adjacent enemy activity will prevent recovery of efficiency, a unit doesn't need to be attacked. Re: efficiency not recovered?
Yes, it happens for me sometimes, but only with vehicles, and mostly in jungle. I have figured one of the potential answer is that you're standing next to enemy mine. Which is invisible to non-infantry unit except when you ram it. In some scenarios, there're random mines in jungle.

I also had the feeling tanks don't recover in some terrains. Not sure. They should have put it some where in the tips on the loading screencutydt02 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 29, 2025 2:24 am Yes, it happens for me sometimes, but only with vehicles, and mostly in jungle.
