Lots of cavalry on both sides led to a swirling melee of death. The battle could have gone either way at one point and The Macedonians came off better. the Macedonian elephants held up very well despite battling with a phalanx for much of the melee. By the end I had 5 units fragmented (including both elephants) and 2 disrupted, versus the Parthians 3 disrupted units. Another turn would have seen the Macedonians lose all their advantage but some fortuitous pursuit paths just tipped the balance before the Parthians could strike. A much closer game than the score suggests. Those Cataphracts were nasty.
The Axumite warbands somehow managed to hold until the camelry arrived to flank.

The Elamite archers were able to shoot down the Philistine right flank while the Sumerian spears held on in the center.

A hill and rough ground secured the Egyptian right against a chariot assault allowing for a large and successful flanking maneuver on the left by the Egyptian Guards and cavalry.
