DerPz-MOD
This is a project that is in development and aims to provide a close experience to the historical events that occurred in the Second World War concerning the Wehrmacht.
In this MOD, ideas and material have been collected from many projects published here in the community, such as material from the following MODs:
Pak-MOD
Battlefield Europe
Maps of Nikivdd
Maps of Strom Soviet
Material from Lennis29's MODs
Among many others.
Ideas from many previous contributors have also been included, such as:
Locarmus
McGuba
Goose
Richar M
Faos 333
Spbc1
Phcas
Lennis29
The list can be quite long and we will summarize it with these names, but there are many more.
We return to the topic that started the MOD and that is playing DLC GC with the 4-unit rule, to represent a combat division, this is an issue that is not to the liking of many people, but it is a different way of playing and having a different experience than what many are used to.
Here is the link that provided the motivation to create the mod:
https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115586
Let's start explaining some changes:
Audio: (efx.pzdat) It has some simple and easy changes to avoid a mod of many GB of space, so the audio folder has some audio files to skip only a basic variety of some sounds, we also added ambient sound from other mods.
Graphics : Regarding animations we have borrowed from other MODs some minimal elements to enrich the visual experience of the DerPz-MOD project, we have also tried to keep a vanilla look in the units only adding a few touches of designs with photoshop some units.
The DARK CLOUD has been kept, to provide additional help to the AI, since in some maps it has been modified to create one or another traps, this also provides value to the recon units.
The Tiles have been modified to help improve the visual quality of the maps, in this part we took a lot of material from other mods.
UI : Here we added material from other mods.
/ awards > It was taken from DAW and adapted to DerPz.MOD, its file was also modified.
/ Heroes >(heroes.pzdat) We changed a lot of pictures to add variety, we also took the file from an earlier version of Pak-Mod and adapted it to the DerPz, making a division of the heroes according to the class of unit, meaning that the heroes of the infantry are different from the heroes of the panzers, as they will also be different from the heroes of the artillery and so on.
The expansion folder contains a simple introductory video, created by Lennis29.
The image of the MOD, celebrates the 13th anniversary of PzC.
In the DATa folder:
> Movement file : We modified it only so that the infantry can move 4 steps on the road.
> equipment.pzeqp : A huge amount of work has been done to be able to provide a great variety of units that allows the structuring to be pleasant for the users, we tried to include many versions of the units that participated in the second war.
DLC file : Here we try to make everything different and adapted to the rule of 4 units to simulate a division.
> From GC39 to GC45, there are 10 files, what we did was that we created each GC file in a battle group, to simulate the historical flavor of the German armies on the maps.
> The idea is the following: We researched many maps published on the net and we tried to make historical routes as real as possible, so that you can understand the idea, we will give an example.
Example: in 1940 a German attack was through the Ardennes, entering through Luxembourg, following Sedan, quickly continuing to Arras and arriving at Calais, then we modified the CAMPAING File and put exactly those maps in sequence.
Since there are 10 battle groups, we are creating a list with the organized sequence of all the battles and the assignments to each group.
To make it a little more interesting we assigned some developer names to the groups to make it more personalized.
We are also working on a map model on Google maps to follow the trajectory of the groups' battles. With the images we are going to publish, you will all have a clearer idea of what we explained.
There are so many modifications that we have made that we do not have everything documented, so we apologize.
Thank you all.
----------------------------------------------------------------
-> This map has the historical routes of the German armies in the invasion of Poland in 1939 and is what I try to replicate in the MOD.

----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
-> This is the MOD map, where I try to recreate the routes, modifying the campaign file, you can see groups with their different assigned battles.

----------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
-> Here are the Groups with the assigned battles and their historical dates.

----------------------------------------------------------------
-> This table is the one that organizes the sequence and the order of battles for the campaign of all the groups in 1939, we can see that there are 17 battles in total, it also has the groups assigned to the battle,
For example, Battle #1 Poznan, corresponds to Group 1
Battle # 2, Morka map, corresponds to Group 3, Battle #3 also corresponds to Group 3, so the idea is to play the battle with the corresponding group in the corresponding sequence, to carry out the historical sequence.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
-> This would be the screen that contains all the groups and where you would have to go every time you have to play a battle, we have replaced GC39 with I.Goose Group Battle and so on.
