the 2 towns are the 2ndary objectives, might have been changed in the wording but still the same meaning.

I also played through 43' and I did not come across any bugs apart from what I mentioned and getting "Sepp Allerberger" still shows an empty message box when he comes available at "Kremenchug"
thought i fixed allerberger, gonne give that another look.

Hi, i started testing your new Grand Campaign Update:

1. The bigger maps, combined with some random troops are very good. The old gc feels very "new" now.
2. The Hel sec. objective is easier now, good.
3. The map exits are very good, they help a lot, to remove units the player doesnt need anymore.
4. The airbases with "refit capability" are very good. I used them on the second map to change my fighter-bombers to stukas. Combined with the immelmann stuka support the polish had a hard time ag. so many stukas.

I only played the first two maps of the poland campaign, but so far i think you made a very good job. Honestly i didnt want to play the old gc again, but the bigger maps alone, make it a new experience for me. I will definitly play it all again. :) GREAT WORK !

Thx for the praise.
With all that i learned in the last 2 years i am now able to create the campaign i expected to get on the release of the game.

There are still some things i would like to change/enhance but the current version of the 1939 campaign is final. maybe some adjustments to balance, especially after the units rework we are currently doing.

You deserve all the praise Thomas. What you did with 39' and how you expanded on it, is just awesome. I also like the size of the maps and everything feels really balanced. Keep up your incredible work!

Hi Thomas, I arrived in East Africa in campaign Ak.
After the deploy phase and my turn, I get kicked out of the program as soon as the computer pulls.
round 1
Happens again and again.
I had another mistake on the Suez Map, in some laps I couldn't move my units.
I'll download your latest update, maybe it fixes the bugs.

I play your mod with the unit toolbox.
unit toolbox causes a lot of issues with the mod, especially with the reworked areas, and is no longer supported by it´s creator.

we are currently reworking all the unit-files to have an equal variety of units and have the same for SoE and PC1 remake to remove some glitches caused when both mods are active at the same time.

i´ll take a look at what might be happening to you, but if it´s the toolbox getting rid of that issue will be tiresome.
if u still have a save in the scenario before u can try to remove all modded units from ur core before advancing to the next scenario and turn of the toolbox before doing so.

Edit:
i checked the scenario and it works for me, so i would guess its the toolbox. please try to turn it off like i described above.

Some feeback to the polish part in 1939 so far:
- Balancing is very good. I am very poor in the first scenarios, cant even fill up all the core slots on some maps.
- Hero system is interesting, but maybe too tough. 1k prestige for an almost useless hero is nonsense. 3k for an "ok" hero is also no good idea, I got like 6-7k after warsaw, although I try to farm as much prestige as possible, instead of just killing stuff.
If you take a 5k hero you could ruin yourself, it is just not worth it.
Basically I am only playing with 6 random heroes, because I picked killer team twice as a trait for the campaigns. Imo you should reduce the prestige costs for heroes, maybe 33% in the 1939 campaign. Cant say how it works if you play on "easy" or with good traits...
- Some maps do not end like intended imo and/or have too many turns. Like warsaw, I could have ended the map 10-15 turns earlier, but the map did not end. There is no objective like "hold to the last turn" so I see no reason why its not ending after taking the last objective.
- Rudel is not working correctly. If I attack an unit close to him I dont get the attack bonus.
- Heavy infantry is still a bit too strong. It can attack my tanks on open field, even with artillery support.

But the campaign is very good so far. I really like the map design, that you recognize some places again one mission later, like modlin on the warsaw map. And the special tasks (movie team :D) are a nice idea to make the gameplay more interesting.

I tested on Generallissimus and General diff setting and could buy a hero in evry scenario, and like 3 5k heros on the higher setting. Still collecting feedback on this but it seems to play out fine as it is. Prestige has meaning and is no longer some useless number at the top of the screen u do not worry about.
U can sell heros for 1k prestige, if u get a 1k hero u do not like just sell him and get the 1k back.

Well, this shows how different ppl play. i tend to use all the turns on warsaw and upped the turns by 5 after feedback from our testers.
I usually surround the city then grab the supply hex and starve them out, takes longer but is probs les prestige intense.

We are currently reworking the units. Infantry is a mayor part of that.

I think the turn limit overall is fine, it also gives the player the time so set up encirclements.

The prestige drain on the first few maps is pretty substantial but this comes down to infantry doing such an enormous amount of damage. If that gets fixed after the review, it should be a lot better.

I also tried the non-historic path today. Is the player supposed to purchase Finish aux units? Kelja did not give me that option. Each aux unit was tied to a 16 core slot and even I could have purchased two, did not work. Not sure how you're going to hold the north line without any aux support?

in the finnish scenarios u can either disguise(upgrade) ur core as finnish or purchase finnish aux units. All captured, none german equip works as well.
If u put any german units on the map they will be removed start of next turn and returned to ur reserve.

not sure what ur trying to tell me with the 16 core slot bind.

The "16 core slot" I was not able to reproduce but I am not able to buy any aux units at Kelja. The top shows only my core slots but no slots for aux units. This was working fine on the first map.

u only have the 38 core slots in Kelja. Several aux units are on the map already.
i tested the map on both general and generallisimus. if u follow the instructions of ur intel officer this can be done.

I still don't get it. The briefing states you have to tackle the assault head on but there aren't any troops to do that. Even if I pull everything back none of the troops gets even close to Gromovo before it's being capturred. Not sure what I am missing.

Yes, I always had to sell every single hero to get the prestige back. Otherwise I could not even reapir my units.

I did it the same way, but I guess i rushed too hard on the left side. But there are 2 artillery units, one with double shot, one with lethal attack that hurt you a lot. I could not really ignore it and so it was hard to get and hold the supply hex.
I generally should play "slower" but on some maps you really need to rush, on some maps you have a lot if time. Hard to know, if you play it the first time.
Right now I am in norway, second map. I am losing prestige like hell, there is no airfield close enough to get my planes up in the north and the british fighters and bombers just dont care about my AA. On clear weather they do a lot damage on any single units, there is no way to prevent this. I won the map in the last possible turn!

Air recons only give bonus when u attack a unit below him, like any other recon plane.
Yeah I know, thats what I tried so say :) But for me its not working, at least I dont get the binoculars-symbol when attacking a unit below him. I did not check the combat logs, maybe it is still working...but Rudel doesnt collect a lot exp., like recon cards do, by supporting attacking units.

Rudel comes in a special DO17 recon version when u get him in the first scenario. If u upgrade/change that plane, his trait will no longer work since he must be in an recon-plane to work.

If u are used to playing the AO on generallissimus tune down 1-2 diff ratings for the mod. If u play the AO on generallissumus + DvG and have a good time play the mod on generallissimus. It´s significantly harder and more unforgiving than the AO. AI i set to punish misstakes in troop formations. they will always go for ur juicy stuff if u let them.

Concerning the 2 Artillerie pieces in Warsaw. 21 cm are a good way to silence them. The villages east of Warsaw provide u with several artillerie pieces that enable u to spare the core slots to field the 21 cm.
