yes, u can start with preludes and then play through all the campaigns taking ur core with you.
when u "start" a new campaign and u have a core rdy for transfer u are asked right before the difficulty setting.
This is the current campaign pathing u can chooose.

Thank you for this. It is way more challenging on Generalissimus than the AO series.

Couple things: 1940 how to go the British route instead of French? After Sedan I automatically went to Stonne.
Edit: NVM I just finished Amiens and went to Mauberge. Was following the old Campaign tree,

Wassigny was a real problem could not have finished it but luckily I had the Auxiliary trait so just bought a bunch of cheap tanks and lined them in a row delaying long enough to escape...

Campaigns:
Preludes-Ltd now exists in parallel to Preludes. In Ltd-campaigns u have limited stock, limited ammunition and limited elite replacements. By using the "Limted Stock" feature that comes with the base game (advanced options) u can adjust the number of stock u get to ur liking.
The limited stock u get is calculated by the following formula:
400 divided by units prestige value times unit size

example:
infantry unit at 250 prestige: 400 / 250 * 15 = 24 stock received
usual tank unit at 500 prestige: 400 / 500 * 10 = 8 stock received
super heavy vehicle at 1000 prestige:400 / 1000 * 10 = 4 stock received

The first time a unit shows up the stock will always be big enough to field at least 1 unit.
This will be added campaign per campaign to the whole mod.

-new Random heros:(currently in Preludes for testing, please try to break the script and let me know how u did it)
at the start of a scenario, where u don´t get to buy a special hero with commendation points, u get to choose a random officer out of 3 categories. A weak one for 1.000 prestige, a mediocre one for 3.000 prestige or an outstanding one for 5.000 prestige. This replaces the random hero generated at the start of a scenario.

Each trait has a limit per campaign to reduce unwanted hero clustering due to unlucky randomness. Currently this limit is set to roughly 1 per year of the war.
This should result in a wider spread hero variety.

Some heros have further restrictions:
ZeroSlots, Camouflage, IncMaxOverstrength and NoRetaliation are currently restricted to 1 per 2 years. This can be bypassed with the General trait "Killer-Team".

FastDeployment, FastRebase, ExpertRecon, CounterBattery and FirstAid are restricted to the apropriate unit.types to reduce player puzzlement.

Once all flaws have been found and solved this will be added to the whole mod.

fixes:
- some scenarios had error message spamm. i hope i found all. please let me know if u still encounter this issue.

currently preludes and preludes LTD have the new hero script for testing. Several flaws were found and will be fixed with next update. then 1939 and 1939 LTD will have the new hero script, too.

Hello, many thanks for this very successful implementation.
I completed the 43 campaign.
There are two ways after 1944 on the campaign tree.
Are these in planning, is one historical and the other ahistorical?
What is the timing for the 1944 addon?
At the moment I'm trying the route via North Africa, so far it's also highly recommended.

next weekend will have a big update, after that i´ll take a break from PC2 to prevent burnout and then start on 1940 rework. 1944 will not be worked on before the start of next year.

the split u are mentioning happened in 1942 already. at the end u can decide to stay put in stalingrad, moving along the historical path or leave entering the ahistorical path. 1943 GC is the historical and 1943 NH ist the fictional path and both are already in the mod. maybe the flowchart helps to clear this up a bit.

I just finished 39 and must say I am super impressed. I thought the map changes were going to be minor but you pretty much did a complete overhaul of all maps. Was also fun to play, good balance and interesting maps which brought back some good memories. I did not run into any issues, there were a few script error but they did not affect the game.

- Bydgoszc: Script error comes up after destroying the first depot and stays for the remainder of the scenario
- Spoils of War: Error at the start of first turn only
- Lillehammer: After getting the Neubaufahrzeug there is an error but only for that turn

Minor suggestion:
Kampinos Forest automatically ends when the objective has been completed. A player might miss out on Kesselring's offer even he has a few turns left.

thx for the input, the script errors are leftovers from transferring the Ltd version into a normal version. will be removed with next patch and don´t cause any issues, besides the red message.

not sure if i can make kampino run longer, but will take a look at that and maybe add a hint to finish the extra first.

The turn limit for Kampinos Forest is fine but it should end on turn 15 and not before. On my first playthrough I had two turns left but did not get the extra hero since I had finished the objective on turn 13. So I reloaded, got the hero and then finished the objective.

Just a note. At "Oboyan" there is no longer the specific bonus objective listed. I guess you still need to capture both towns to get to the "Armory" but it does not show up as an objective and there is also no message box after capturing those towns.

It's part of the 43 campaign, right before Kursk Armory. The towns to be captured in order to get to Kursk armory are:

Bashkatovo (11,6)
Pselets (45,2)

Previously those were listed as an objective but that is no longer the case.

I am pretty sure the two towns to be captured used to be listed in the objective unless my memory is playing tricks on me.

I also played through 43' and I did not come across any bugs apart from what I mentioned and getting "Sepp Allerberger" still shows an empty message box when he comes available at "Kremenchug"
