I have a few questions that I hope are easy to answer :)

(1) There is no arenaside.xls. I presume that means you don't mean for us to edit it. However, would it be possible to know what the last 2 numbers mean or where they point to?

(2) Does it matter what order items are in, if you are editing ...

I don't think they expect you to edit it normally ^_-

Long post this. I am going to analyze (as much as I have been able to) Squads.txt. I know I'm 11 months late again, but it is as much so I have a place to look as to tell everyone else. As I said in another post, I havn't got anything to see the XLS files yet so I dunno if any of this is explained ...

Yep it worked for me! I'm in the middle of evaluating the text files at the moment.

Well I couldn't do it, I even redid some of my last battles again to try and keep more men, but it was impossible, which was when i started looking at the tweaks txt file. For anyone else that can't get passed one of these missions, open Tweaks.txt and change:

Is the "?1" another resource which wasn't implemented but is still there? I saw on the unit descriptions that you still have numbers for wood/gold/food/etc which I presume are left over from Legion? Are you able to tell me what the last 2 numbers change? I've been messing around changing them, but ...

I know this is 11 months late, but if anyone is interested and hasn't worked it out for themselves yet, I have some theories on what the other numbers are. These might be shown in the XLS files that are available, but I don't have anything to read them with so I thought I would post them anyway ...

I recently bought CoM, but while playing, I often get the heal heart grayed out after battles. I thought maybe this was a lack of fame for healing, but I have well over 100k fame. It only started during the CoM missions as Romans. Is this a bug? or part of the story that I missed?

Hmm I've noticed that most people seem to use a lot of units, yet they all seem to have similar levels to the smaller amount of units that I use. Surely less fighters = more kills = more XP for each?

You can already charge & disengage. Making it automated would make trample too effective I think.

You mean so they just trample, not stop and fight? Coz all I can see are buttons that make them stop and fight, but that isn't the way they worked. Usually they had a lance, and hit the first person ...

Not sure if I have mentioned this anywhere else, but I would like a Charge option for cavalry where they run in doing trample damage, then run back out. An example of this would be the Mimbrate Knights in The Belgariad series if anyone has read that.

my firs Malitia group reached nearly 70 (i think) or somewhere there abouts. But i used them at the front of every battle in the roman campaign so they got loads of kills.

Why don't they just release the tools as they are, and people interested in that sort of thing can pick through them and try to get the hang of it. If Slitherine people can do it, i don't see why other people can't with a little time and patience.


Oh and YeY! I'm "Militia" now!

It would be useful, especially for comparing armies at various parts of the campaign.
