Re: Tides of Conquest campaign tool (SP/MP, currently v0.4 with scenarios for all DLCs)
Yes, I believe that a 3-game campaign at level 4 is equal to a level 5 single skirmish. You could also tell the player to complete a 3-game campaign on progressive difficulty starting at Level 3, which results in a level 5 grand finale.

Re: Tides of Conquest campaign tool (SP/MP, currently v0.4 with scenarios for all DLCs)
Thanks for the kind words, and am glad to hear that you're enjoying it! I can definitely add Mare Nostrum suggestions as an option for singleplayer, and I just need to look at campaigns and see how that would work as well. I was also thinking of adding in some of the other game modes, like baggage ...

Re: Tides of Conquest campaign tool (SP/MP, currently v0.4 with scenarios for all DLCs)
I just wanted to thank Nijis for this awesome tool. It has really gotten me back into the FOG2 after a long time away from the game. It is exactly what I was looking for in a FOG campaign. A thought occurred to me last night that it would be an awesome option to have Tides of Conquest single-player ...

Making Limited Ammo Optional?
I really wish that the limited ammo rule for archers, slingers, etc. was optional. I am playing a campaign right now between armies that are predominately light forces and I feel like just five rounds of shooting is a bit limited. Is it possible to somehow adjust the ammo rule? Or, in a future updat...

Re: Surf and Turf
Just finished my first game of Mare Nostrum. I definitely enjoyed it. Looks like lot of replayability with all of the campaigns and skirmish mode, etc. I've been dreaming of a good war galley game for years and happy to see it finally come true. I really don't know why it was released with so little...

Re: Field of Glory II Editor - Suggestions & Requests
As a long time player of FOG1, I recall many debates between people holding very different views regarding the the effectiveness of chariots, elephants, missile troops, and the existence/extent of anarchy charges, etc. It would be nice to have some control over this, either in the difficulty panel, ...

Re: Happy New Year!
Excellent news! Thanks for all your hard work and the update. Oh, and a quick question, will scenario designers be able to add camps and fortifications to custom scenarios in the new version? It seems a pity that these are only available in DAG games.

Re: Link to Usermade Scenario Pack?
I think you should unzip into your FieldofGlory scenarios folder instead, which is in the same Slitherine folder as the FieldofGlory Armies and FieldofGlory Saved Games folder. Probably in the documents folder of your computer. I am using Windows 10 so it may be slightly different for you.

Hypothetical Scenario - Assyrian Raid
A hypothetical scenario featuring an Assyrian raiding party that must force the mountain pass and destroy at least one hill-top village before nightfall. I designed this to showcase the importance of light troops and some of the challenges of operating in rough terrain. The map is also large in comp...

Re: Discussion of release candidate (FOG Returns!)
Actually, I revise my opinion about the graphics. The new version appears to allow you to zoom in much more than the older one, which makes the models look a little blurry at the maximum zoom. Still unable to remove the missile troop icon or see the missile arcs. I have been playing both versions ov...

Link to Usermade Scenario Pack?
Hello Everyone, Coming back to the game after a long intermission and regret to find all my scenarios and mods are gone--they got lost in the shuffle between computers/operating systems over the years. I started downloading scenarios but it seems like a lot of the old links are dead and there are ov...

Re: Discussion of release candidate (FOG Returns!)
A huge fan of FOG when it first came out but after a couple years I got a new computer I never got around to reinstalling it. I recently returned to the game and tried the 2.3 build. I agree with TheGrayMouser that it seems too cluttered. For some reason, I could not alter the look of the bases or t...

Yes, great game Matt. I agree entirely with your conclusions. It was a tricky map and I was much too tentative, especially with my billmen. I felt that my artillery did a fairly good job--their flank was the last to be blown open--but your use of crossbows to screen the knight's advance was perfect....

Wonky AI with MF bows?
Is it just me or does the AI have a terrible time using its MF longbows and archers? They frequently turn away and move towards the rear and do not really shoot as much as they should. I've really noticed it since the last expansion. Playing DAG games against the AI the MF bows and crossbows don't e...

Burgundians vs. Late French
Matt and I have decided to face off with a pair of armies from the recent expansion pack Storm of Arrows. I picked the Burgundians for no other reason than they have guns! Yes, gunpowder weapons. At this point in time they weren't all that useful--except for scaring horses. Still, I thought it would...
