What I'm wondering is, actully, not if Slitherine makes comming games, Alcane Legions and Legions 2. I have killed my little doubts about that, thanks to coldknight's post and this Great Battles of Rome's anouncement. But the balance between system and narrative is what I'm wondering. There are many...

You know, I never understood why the shield doesn't seem to appear in ancient japanese warfare- pavises, occasionally, but not traditional shields. That is because, Their main weapon is war bow, and their armor(yoroi、 鎧) is already heavy for wearer and horse. In fact 大鎧(oo yoroi, literal meaning, h...

Scouting and ambushing seems to be great. One thing I feel sad is there are many battles and subtle battle descriptions, though once you got army strong enough, it is a kind of skelton key to open the way into any battlefields. But another point I'm wondering is, is there Legion 2 and Alcane Legion?...

May I ask question?
Are there any new unit types, for exsample roman marines?
And I really hope slitherine make historic based feudal Japan's era war strategy games.
Very interesting, tora_tora_tora. Which battle is this supposed to be depicting? Are any great Daimyo or Shoguns involved?
The story itself is not historical, it is fictional, though battle sequences and costumes seems to be authentic. So these daimyos and warriors are not real histo...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szMKdzXfc48 humm, quite interesting. the other day, I found this one. well, as you see, this is animation movie, not acted by human actors. Though, I guess most of japanese history enthusiasts think this batttle sequence is authentic, historical. there is no English ca...

<hamasaki ayumi(浜崎あゆみ) I guess she is a singer, though not so much as idol. As she attends, starrs in 紅白歌合戦(kouhaku uta gassen), it is fair to say she is one of the most famous singers in Japan. Well, not all famous singers want to appear in this show, though, traditionally one of the most common sh...

Thank you for showing interest in Japan's wonderful culture. Well, as I have never seen this particular picture before, I guess this is by Kose. http://www.kose.co.jp/index4.html And the reason this specific makeup brand's is named after is, I guess, most Japanese think it's cool. It used to be the ...

Off the topic That reminds me of Fantasy General, I bough around ten years ago. You know IME standards and there are other programs which occupy DOS's conventional memories. So, if you want to play Fantasy General with your PC setting in Japanese, you must alter some configs and so on. Thanks to Win...

I guess players can make combind combat teams. So integrating several archers units into one team, and disignating bow-master as commander or putting cavalries and swordmen together, making swordsmen somekind of aconpanying infantries, and protect knights when they are most vulnerable, the time when...

Arcane Legions : A Rising Shadow, good name. And UI's unit symbols got a bit change. no more wedge and square formations? somekind of magic users' legion? Like thunderbolts, swarm of fire arrows, and so on. And if player can choose, determine how many arrows and javelins these archers and javelinmen...

Japanese use roman-letter(romaji), hiragana(ひらがな、平仮名、ヒラガナ), katakana(かたかな、片仮名、カタカナ) and chinese characters(かんじ、漢字、カンジ, kannji). well, for the first look, it seems a bit confusing, but actually not. For exsample, we don't have Latin tradition, which mean we don't have to learn Latin, except scholars ...

Tora^3 - I'm a bit puzzled by what you say about typing in unit names in japanese. Are you trying to do an LA mod in japanese? Why can't you just type in the names? Do the kanji characters not display correctly? If not, why not just type the japanese names in romanji? well, I guess coding guys do n...

well, I don't want to spread bad rumors about amazon jp, though sometimes there is a difference between what they say on the web site and what they can really deliver to you. For exsample, I heard about Count Belisarius in this forum, and I got interested and order it on the amazon jp web. Yes, I di...
