It's pretty bizarre that a router would block a single site. Does it have any built-in virus/firewall/security type applications? Could you try googling your router blocking specific sites - it might be something someone has seen before. Cheers Pip I'm going to try to reset my router later this eve...

We've not blocked your IP. It may be your ISP has blocked our IP. If it used to work and doesnt know something between us has changed but we've not modified the site at all. I've already checked that possibility, but when I contacted my ISP they replied that they haven't blocked your site. I tried ...

As of yesterday evening I still can't access multiplayer or the slitherine website from my pc, the problem has been ongoing for over a week now. I've tried checking the security options on my browsers, checking if my anti-virus or firewall seems to be blocking it, and even contacted my internet prov...

Will give it a go when I get home. Fingers crossed that this might be it.iainmcneil wrote:Check your security settings - maybe it is blocking the site in IE because it suspects the link in the mail?
Has anyone else who has had the problem given any feedback on how (if) it was solved in their case?
Thanks.

Can you try going via the www.slitherine.com homepage and then navigate to the forums using buttons instead of a direct link to the forum. Someone else said this helped. I've tried typing in the www.slitherine.com, making a google search and clicking on the link, and clicking on my favourites folde...

I've been using the server all day without any issues, doing BBC MP testing. It's possible it is a DNS issue with some branch of the route from the server to you, given that you were also having forum problems. If it continues then let us know. Cheers Pip I've been having the same problems on my pc...

Anyone encounter this problem?
I'm playing the Invasion of Macedon Scenario on multiplayer. I'm playing as the Macedonians and in my turn I was chasing some enemy routing units. I charged with a field commander's cavalry unit (Lysander) into the back of a fragmented enemy cavalry unit, this evaded, and my cavalry continued its mo...

If I may make a suggestion regarding the fact that there are more than 16 applicants, one option is to make it a first come first served as already has been suggested. Another might be to set an end date for taking applications. If there are more than 16 applicants, the excess participants are drawn...

I agree with you up to a point here. The Carthaginians have little chance to strike first if the Roman general knows what he's doing. Part of the problem is also the nature of this particular battle itself. Lake Trasimene and Carrhae are 2 unusual battles as regards deployment. FoG does a BRILLIANT ...

I've played it twice as the Romans now, first time against the AI and just finished playing a human opponent. On both occasions Rome won quite comfortably. I think the problem is that the Carthaginians start too far away and thus don't really have that element of surprise that occurred in the real b...
