Axeman how come a Geordie supporter is in the Big Smoke?
Someday our time will come!
Nope, theres only one team in Black + White for me, and its not the Toon. And I think a "next 4" fixture list of Spurs, Juventus, Man Utd & Juventus again shows out time has already come !
Fulham fan! Can't ...

Plantations
I've had a crack at making a plantation - just the trees for now and the base will be created the same as for my vineyards.

I need to build some walls and thinking of the same problem. I think the way to do it is take a thin strip of balsa or a Starbucks coffee stirrer (for 10mm anyway) and use glue on one side to stick the 'rocks to. let it dry - then repeat on the other side. This will then create enough support on ...

I think for my 15mm figures I might make these and just permanently attach the vines. I think they'll be durable enough to allow troops to be placed on top of them. The advantage of the vines not being permanently attached is the base can be used for rough going without them. 2 Terrain pieces for ...

Punic Wars Part IV
Another 10mm extravaganza. The Roman cavalry again turn in a splendid performance, and vineyards again have a huge effect on the outcome.
Apologies if any glaring mistakes in applying the rules - we're getting better though!

Ancient Spanish Shields
For my Iberians I'm going for a very uniform design / colour scheme with minimal variation. Red / black / white in set combinations.
For the Celtiberians I'm going for much more variety in colours and designs - manly green / yellow variations.

Nice to see Roman deployment in checkerboard formation. What is your experience with that?
Especially in your last AAR, it seems that the carthaginians managed to get overlaps because of this. In general one tries to get his main line in one piece to the enemy. Why then leaving gaps which result in ...

Re: Terrain help.
Hi everyone
Before I start may I say that I am not the DIY type.
I am thinking of the best way to make good FOG terrain as at present a lot of my terrain is coloured felt.
I though of buying and cutting some wood that would be suitable for fields, plantations, forests etc. I also thought that I ...

Punic Wars in 10mm
Rome vs Carthage - 600 (ish) points each.
Witness the miracle of 1 Roman cavalry BG defeating 3BG's of Numidian Light Horse and Gallic Cavalry, a vineyard saving Rome's backside, triarii killing elephants and a hastati vs African Spearmen stabfest. Also includes scutarii wasting Italian allies ...

Vineyards
I've completed my first vineyards for FOG Ancients (but I suppose they can be used for any era). These are for 10mm ancients - on a 10" square board. So simply scale up or down as required.

Re: Mid Republican Romans
You have to have them - but not necessarily behind the hastati / principes.
I think combining 2 BG's of 2 into one unit of 4 (elite, heavy foot, offensice spearmen, armoured, drilled..) makes them a great unit to anchor your middle.
Put them up against Carthagnian elephants or other offensive ...
