There is no point in buying a product when the usability factor is compromised.
I would buy a 2nd edition book, but this PC, iPAD, Mac approach doesn't make sense when the product isn't searchable, or usable.

Could you have a Troop (quality) Commander for CinC while having two Field Commanders?

This makes the army more resilient, such that it can keep fighting with fewer generals.

Elephants are an alternative, and cheaper (50 cf 64). They also discourage enemy cataphracts from getting close., although they are fragile.

0-9 posts = Peasant
10-49 posts = Militia (which I just made)
50-99 = Scout or is it Levy Spearmen
100-149 = Archer
150-199 = Velite
200-299 = Warrior
300-399 = Nobleman
400-499 = Auxiliary
500-599 = Hastati
Veteran somewhere around 800
Princepe over 1000 ...
