It is a great picture, really captures medieval illustrations.

Not keen on Mongol armies generally as they are too horse-based and float around without getting down to any nitty-gritty. I find them annoying to play against. I'm fine with just starting with French and moving around.

Agreed, that would be gaming excellence in my view, much as I liked the Total War series, I found the battles a bit rushed. A combo of a good strategic map moving down to P&S on the battlefield would be top notch.

Yes, I would definitely like slower speed, and it would be handy to pause the enemy at times.
