Hi guys, With the holidays looming this is going to be difficult for me (I work in the tourist industry), so sorry, I'll have to give it a pass. BTW, hopefully, now that the game has been released in the US, we'll be soon seeing some new people joining the forum and mulitiplayer. Ray (alias Lava) S...

Have you ever tried using Withdraw with an Elephant? Yes, I did. I just played sum1one three(3) games. I was the Romans with a level 5 elephant unit, plus 2 level 4 Auxiliries, 1 scout, 1 archer and Legate. I won the first game by using the withdraw and then using the stop button... very effective ...

The Ladder of Defeat
Just kidding about the title. Well, I tried my hand at playing online against the top 2 tacticians. sum1won - I lost both games ehre - I lost both games plus 2 games more for fun. It was fun. I did notice that my Romans have a hard time against the Celts. My heavy infantry seems to lose against thei...

I think what would be interesting is to fight on line with the army you completed with at the end of the single player game. 8) Imagine 2 Roman armies hitting each other with everything they have controlled by a real person. Everything may hinge on your Legate's training and command control. ...

Achilles armor, which increases several cavalry stats, espeially defensive ones. Teutonic Horses, which increase agility and trample. Samartian armor, which increases armor hugely, increases trample, and lowers agility. Dacian Falx (master concuss), which gives +20 concussion damage, -10 to hit. Ba...

Game started at lowest level, then went to HARD setting when it was too easy. The HARD setting was just right and made the game fun and challenging. ROMAN: Equipment was upgraded to level 3 at the most. 1 General (22) 2 archers (27, 13) 1 hastatii (27) 1 skirmisher (37) 4 legionaires (23,17,16,1) 1 ...

This has also happened to some of my units as well. You are right though, Iain, it is hard to reproduce. It depends on the situation and the unit's orders when given. :? But anyway, thanks for an interesting game. I really hope that you make expansion packs. I got all the way with an army Ceasar wou...

Trying to Click on units and drag to new location?
Another problem is that when I click the icon to set up my entire army, i have trouble clicking on individual units and moving them. Is there something I'm missing? I can highlight the unit by left-clicking but when I hold the left mouse down and try to move this unit it doesn't recognize my hold to...

Did it with 3 seconds left to spare... would you like the save file sent back? I moved your heavy cav all the way to right right, and set way points to get them in quickly round the back, then charged everything else up the left hand side... Your right though, its quite tough. :D I tried that maneu...

Re: The Battle of Grannacus - Bug?
I noticed that the time I'm able to begin my attack that I start at 52 seconds. However, the conditions stipulate that I have 60 seconds to win. No matter how I try, I cannot do it without the 8 seconds that I was deprived. Maybe you can tell me how to get those precious 8 seconds back. If you need...

What orders do you issue? If you issue a charge there is only a second pause before they run off. If you issue a normal advance there is a slightly longer pause, but only around 2-3 seconds. What is happening for the first 8 seconds? WEhat happens is a delay for the camera to pan around and when I'...

I'm sure you'll do it :) Try delaying tactics, maybe sacrifice some men to slow them down, often works well if they draw the enemy to the other side of the battlefield of your main force. Find some terrain to hide or fight on a narrow front to reduce their numerical superiority. This scenario is no...
