Re: Campaign Rules
I recently wrote a very simple campaign/battle generator set of rules for my BlackPowder AWI. Basically movement"nodes" drawn on a piece of foamcore. Each force is broken down into brigades, and represented by a pin on the map.The actual composition on the brigade is listed on a separate pie...

Yet another basing question
Will these rules be flexible in their basing as say,Black Powder, where really only the formation depiction is the important bit, with the Formation foot print and number of figures not really all that important?

French Wars of Religion
A quick question for those in the know- would I need more than 20 stands of Reiters and 12 stands of mtd Arquebusiers for both the Huegenot and Catholic armies combined? I will be ordering some figures soon and need to figure out if I need to oder more of these two or not. I have been building up th...

S M Sterling's "Change" series
Has anybody thought of gaming this series? It really is fantasy "lite",in that there arent any monster/magic types, but just straightforward Medievil troops with a little "pre-change" tech thrown in,such as one handed ratcheting crossbows, using the mechanisms from car jacks. There...

Re: TYW 28mm Plastics photos
Two sets of pictures - you can reverse engineer quite a lot of the basing from these ! http://www.madaxeman.com/main/Warlord_Games_ECW.php http://www.madaxeman.com/main/Warlord_Games_ECW_2.php tim This is just wrong. Imagine that I'm stuck on a desert island, and I had a cocoanut three days ago. Alo...

I am self taught as well. The way I do my fleshtones, I use 2 washes. The first is a very heavy wash on the first layer of fleshtone, and then 2 highlights. The woad would then come as the next step. My final step would be a glaze of a very, very thin(almost translucent) wash. I find that this last st...

They lost both impact and melee phases, and they broke off during that joint action phase. The bow were not contacted to the front, and I forgot about feeding bases. The light horse broke off during the joint action phase of that turn.We had no idea about the reform for the bow,as we'd never actually ha...

So there are more important events that bunkers hill, quebec, ramiles and blenhiem :) well I do live 5miles from woodstock (that's in oxfordshire before the mention of undrilled hippies on ++ at first contact with a steady police line) :) I very much doubt that undrilled hippies would even make it ...

Flank charge question
We had this situation come up last night- A group of 4 LH charged the flank of a formed bow unit. The bow's 2 flank stands turned to face, and defeated the LH in melee. The light horse broke off.Do the 2 stands of the formed bow continue to face to the flank,or do they reform to the front during their...

Luckily,I have played DBR,annd with the lists,at least have a vague idea as what to expect. I've been painting Italian wars stuff off and on in anticipation of this(and playing other games with it,as well). I think I'll leave my Louis and Williamite armies alone for know, till I have something more c...

In my experience, Little Big Man transfer are best used with a little drop of vinilic glue on shield before apply transfer. Not sure what vinilic glue is? Anyone have a suggestion. I love LBM transfers and have been using them extensively recently. They do take some time to use and get good results...
