Thanks for the answer. That was what we assumed.
But nowhere in that whole section is the word 'camp' used or inferred. We didn't think the camp was a 'unit' or a 'battlegroup' in any sense, so we we passed over that whole section after reading it three times through.

Passing through friendly camp?
Is this allowed?
Where is it stated in the rules that it is/is not?
We searched yesterday longer than I would like to no resolution...

Anything new from the OP?
I'm still new to playing the period and my armies are in the early TYW. Anything to share?

Re: Observations from early gaming
Thanks, Don! We had most of that right, then! We just thought it weird that the leader was left alone, but hey! At least he's still in the fight!

Re: Observations from early gaming
Well, very different and faster game this weekend with getting the Death Rolls correct!
Another question: When a BG is lost due to auto-break, what happens to an attached leader? Does hit just sit on the table? Or does he leave with the unit?

Furby - love the site! Thanks for your work!
Is there a reason while 'carbine' is missing the 'e' at the end? It's in some of the Wars of Religion book lists, particularly the 30YW Protestants and Catholics.

Re: Observations from early gaming
I got that last about the Death Tests vs. Cohesion
Without the +2 Death Tests are once again deadly in our next game. Just wish we had enough metal and terrain to have four people get in...

Do leaders get a third move when detached? The way I read it, no.

Ah, now that I read through the whole thing, I see this does not apply to firearms. Thanks for making me re-read. Couldn't that have been stated easier?

Observations from early gaming
I have had this rules set for a few years now, but I am just getting the chance to put lead on the table. We noticed in our first go round that shooting does not seem to do anything unless you do/can inflict at least three hits against battle groups of 6+ stands. Is this truly the case, or have we d...

I hope you're not serious...gozerius wrote:The charts in the back of the book include everything necessary. Just take a hobby knife, slice them out, laminate them and you have your QRS.

Did the books ship yet?
I know that Slitherine was supposed to get the books by the 21st of last month.
Did they manage to ship any before going on holiday? I think I've seen some gents post on here that they have theirs.
Will the rest of us just have to wait until next week to get confirmation of shipment?

Re: V2 Printed proof approved!
$40 USD is a bit more than I paid for the V1 rules, but might be willing to still buy in.
I wish there were somewhere in the forums where I could find a concise list of the major changes, so I know what I'm getting into.
