Old 15mm Essex Romans
Thanks for the response guys. Now have all the Middle Imperial Lanciarri I require. Still on the look out for the early Imperial armoured advancing auxiliary though (LH base in picture).

Please help me find some old 15mm Essex Roman castings
Whilst restructuring my 15mm Mid Imperial Roman army units to fit in with the unit/BG sizes for FOG, I identified that I needed to buy some additional models to bolster my Lanciarii unit (Essex 15mm ref RO38) and mail armoured light heavy Auxiliary (Essex 15mm RO29). The ever helpful staff at Essex ...

Painting Goths
I used the Osprey "WARRIOR' series reference book no 17 - "Germanic Warrior AD 236 - 568' as my own principal colouring guide. It really is great value and gives you a wealth of information on clothing and equipment for the Goths from period. It all pretty much depends on what period of th...

Irmin, Black Hat Miniatures do a nice nomad covered wagon (Under the Gladiator miniatures range ref EQ9). There is certainly reference to the Huns using/retreating to a wagon based camp (laager) in Attila's major battle at Chalons. However most Hun campaigns involved smaller scale raids, where proba...

Starter horse armies
Hans, Sounds like you are pretty commited to EAP, however if you still hanker after a horse army, have you thought about Western Hun? As well as being a pretty cool army, 'Scourge of God', Attilla and all, there are also numerous manufacturers with a great individual choice of figures. The Huns are ...

Blemmye/Nobades
Thanks for the info on issue dates and mounted types. Must admit that I thought that the Blemmye/Nobades mounted would be better represented as unprotected cavalry and/or light horse with any armoured types being reserved for generals or cavalry unit command groups. I want to do a 4th/5th C army to ...

Blemmye/Nobades and those 'Lost Scrolls'
I understand that Blemmye/Nobades will be included in the 'Lost Scrolls' army lists. Is there a publication date announced yet? Has anyone got a clue (the authors will of course have) as to the anticipated make up of this army list. Only asking as I am just about to start collecting/painting mine an...

Menic's Parthians
Hi Menic, Sorry if Custer's post inadvertantly caused you any upset or confusion re the artist behind this work. I posted the short cut re your 15mm Army as an inspiration to others regarding what can be achieved 1. with a Horse archer army and 2. with Essex 15mm figures. I know that your work has i...
