Re: Limited Stock feature

It's quite difficult to account for manpower and assets when the game has no definite scale... when we lose 10 points of strength how many soldiers are incapacitated, how many tanks destroyed? It's always going to be arbitrary.

Re: AO43 both campaigns finished - some feedback (and questions)

One of the pillars of Panzer Corps 2 is the freedom of choice it provides, because it is a singleplayer campaign environment. Obviously we care about balance. If we didn't, it's very easy to just stamp 99999 prestige into every scenario for the player and for the AI to have to spend. But we aren't ...

Re: Let's get ahead of ourselves : Axis Operations 1944/1945

What I dont like is that I saved the entire fleet und no one noticed that :P +1 :D Good idea, something like that. Winning this war for the ultra nazis definatly feels wrong... Indeed thats a good solution/idea. The team kept politics and ideology out of this fgame as much as possible, but at some ...

Re: Let's get ahead of ourselves : Axis Operations 1944/1945

It's a bit tricky. I feel there should be a split at some point, '44 or '45, either Eastern Front and Western Front, or Alternative History and Historical. Till now it worked somewhat, but some stuff really were past the realm of plausibility even for soft alternative history - like invading Britain...

Re: Panzer Corp 1 vs 2?

I've read a lot of mixed opinions on PC2, with posters in this sub and on Steam saying the gameplay and rules were actually much better in PC1, and PC2 is much more arcade-y and plays too much like Order of Battle. That's a contradiction right there. Order of Battle is anything but arcadey. PzC2 is...

Re: Solving the prestige problems

The problem with prestige is that it makes casualties irrelevant. So in some ways it win battles. Logically, the idea would be that if I, as a general, keep losing men and equipment in droves I would quickly lose High Command trust and wouldn't be able to ask for more reinforcements. Indeed, it mak...

Re: My Opinions on Panzer Corps 2 with focus on the first two Grand Campaign DLCs

There are lots of things that I like better about PC2 than its predecessor. What I miss or liked the most about PC1 is the GC and it's missions. But before PC2 even was released I recognized the challenge facing the designers of PC2: How do you not make it just a rehash of PC1's GC while keeping it...

Re: My Opinions on Panzer Corps 2 with focus on the first two Grand Campaign DLCs

It's indeed easier than PzC1. But it should be said that some grand campaign PzC1 scenarios were brutally hard, so I wouldn't say that PzC2 is an easy game overall. Just middle-of-the-road as far as tactical turn-based games go. About graphics, I don't think it's ugly at all. It's actually nice. But...

Re: Solving the prestige problems

well, I mean, by that logic they could give the Wehrmacht a Titan from WH40k Armageddon. No problem: just set the house rule of not using it. But a Titan from WH40k is not exactly the same than infinite prestige. ;) Prestige doesnt win battles. Player do this. Give a new and unexperienced player wh...

Re: Solving the prestige problems

PC2 has infinite variations on how to make the game more difficult. Ever heard of house rules? Set yourself a prestige expenditure ceiling and be done with it. How about adding some core-slot value to each hero for total masochists and enforce it on everyone? Just leave this thread to rot...

Re: Solving the prestige problems

Have heroes *drain* prestige instead of giving it. That's an interesting thought and a good idea. The best heroes like Zero Slots or Double Fire come with a minus 10 or 20 Prestige per turn. That would definitely put a unique spin on super heroes. After all... you got to pay to play :) Prediction: ...

Re: Solving the prestige problems

Prestige is very tricky to balance because the devs don't want to lock inexperienced players in a death spiral... still, I don't consider myself a top player and always accumulate an enormous treasury. Some of you proposed changes are good ideas, there are many things that could be done... I'll add ...

Re: to spend or not to spend and saved the fleet

after Crete, before the training, u r offered 2 self propelled anti-tank weapons. I don't like the half strength limitation on one and the limited reserve Emil is so vulnerable to attack it depletes too quickly, so I normally refuse the offer. my play style is full speed ahead and I don't like to d...

Do Axis Operations "remember" previous DLC?

I see that some pieces of equipment you can find and keep in your core are clearly used as triggers for events, but are there other triggers? Is there any way for the game to remember objectives achieved and choices made in previous DLC if you import the same core through all of AO? For example, hav...

Re: Your wishes for AO43 and above

1. I hope the alternate path is a smooth path to win. Not a “convenient” win like destroy Red Army in one scenario. I hope the alternate path involves a successful coup and regime change. And ends in a somewhat realistic armistice, after a series of defenses and counter-offensives on all fronts, an...

Re: [Spoiler Alert] My thoughts about AO

I've purchased the DLC but not played it. If it's the start of a forced historical path ending in defeat I don't think I'll bother. Already played that in Panzer Corps I grand campaign and found it quite boring. Unless devs are planning a ahistorical branch I guess this is the end for me.

Re: Paratroopers are kinda bad after 1.02

Axis Operations already uses a separate ruleset from the base game, mostly for some minor changes like the rate that awards and medals are issued but also to disable time altering options that also break certain scenarios. Perhaps that ruleset can be expanded to cover paratrooper mechanics so retur...

Re: Use case for Neubaufahrzeug

It's an historical curiosity. I think it's meant to be mostly useless, it's a kind of multi-turret heavy tank design that was abandoned for good reasons.

Feint towards London; reverse direction to the port; sink the local Royal Navy; evacuate to France.
Dunkirk in reverse.
At Dunkirk the British had a navy. Here the Germans lost their entire one.
