Excellent read. Just finishing up 1944 myself. Hovering around 30K for prestige. Need to not give in to the temptation of over strengthening units.

The scenario you are referring to is "Poltava". You can access that scenario with a DV. It is part way through 1944. Those AA units you pick up are much needed and are at least 3*.

Just at the end of 1944, Budapest. It really helps if you plan your defences properly. If facing lots of armour, setting up kill zones with your infantry. Making armour come at you in close terrain, such as cities. Have lots of artillery; I am currently using 4 AA 88's or better (all 4+ stars) I hav...

Yeah, I am with ThorHa on this one. I find the RNG both wonderful and extremely frustrating. To keep my blood pressure under control I use the dice chess setting.

31 units, 26,689 prestige FM. Trying to bulk up with prestige for '44 and '45.

Get the PC version. I find with all the DLC's, Africa Korps, Allied Corps and waiting for Soviet Corps the entertainment value is huge.

Hey Brad, to answer your questions:

1. the weather pattern is variable.
2. the variableness of the weather is random and is not affected by your prestige amount nor by your force's strength.

As for tips, check out Deductor's video AAR's in the AAR section. Definitely worth the time to watch.

I find over strengthening my tac bombers is useful. Ditto for the 88 AA. I also over strength some units depending on the situation. For example some attack scenarios, my pioneers will be over strength if there are many forts to take out. Other wise I do not over strength until my Tigers show up.
