The problem with the first method was that it increases your income every turn you have that location captured. You then receive that amount of resources every turn. Part of nation/faction units under AI control?

I'm wondering if it is possible to have some part of your units under AI control? It seems this can be done just by adding the same faction multiple times (see screenshot) but I'm wondering if this is intended to work, because adding the same nation third time seems to make the mission stuck at load...

I'm thinking of making Winter War and Continuation War campaign next. It's going to take a long time but the goal is to have historical accuray in those.
