Hi I tried to open it with Apple Keynote, but without success (I did change the suffix to ppt first).

Nice job. It is a hassle that the forum does not support hyperlinks.

Placenoit Scenario
Hi, I have spent some more time working on the Placenoit scenario from the rulebook. I continued to go with a 8'x5' terrain, and have used the ground scale as suggested by the rulebook of 1"=50yd(m). It is impossible of course to get Placenoit itself to scale, but that is one thing I have accep...

Re: newbie question on painting French units
After painting a lot of 28 mm French, essentially I have finally figured out that it is impossible to model all the company distinctions in each battalion. I would carry on as you are doing but on each base paint all the figures the same, i.e. all blue pompoms, next base all green pompoms etc. Paint...

Re: Does FoG-N look Corps level action on the table?
Thanks, I suppose it does not really. Unfortunately rebasing or starting another scale are not real options for me. I must say some of the the 6 and 10 mm figures look quite nice, but I enjoy painting so I do not think it much fun, I am also approaching 2000 28mm figures, so I believe I am pretty we...

Does FoG-N look Corps level action on the table?
I have seen very few photos of a corps level action, using the FoG-N ruleset. There also appear to be no photos of games in the rulebook. I decided to take the Placenoit scenario from the book and lay it out on a 8x5' terrain. I used the 28mm figure recommendation for basing and unit size and well y...

Re: Orders of Battle
David, I am a little confused by your OB for the Westphalian VII Corps, it looks like the number of stands you are using for each unit are for a battalion level game rather then a Brigade level game. Take for example your 23rd Division 1st Bde. You say it has 3500 men, this would just be 2 small (4 ...

Playtest and Review of Quickstart Scenario
Hi,
I have placed a 2 part review and play test of the quick start rules and scenario on my blog. It is quite detailed, and if there are errors please point them out.

Re: Broken Units Question
Thanks, still a little unclear what happened though after the immediate turn after it is broken. If it is rallied does it go to Wavering, but become spent.

Thanks John, that is how I will play it. When you think about it I suppose in reality units to not disappear, they just stay around buggering things up!

Re: Prospective Player Questions
Yes I agree, I have almost finished the quick play scenario and it would have been somewhat of a challenge without the book. This forum though has been very helpful, and they may be just enough. I suspect if you do not second guess things too much the quick start rules may be enough. There are still...

Re: Broken Units Question
I believe the intent of the question is being missed. page 66 refers to units being contacted in pursuit. page 74 refers to units being contacted in an assault I believe the rally rule applies only to the first turn after which it was broken and not to subsequent turns (page 71 bottom). So I am stil...

Re: Prospective Player Questions
I am new to FoG-N, so I really can not answer some of your questions, but I will take a stab at some of the obvious ones. I have been at Napoleonic wargaming for about 5 years, so my general experience is limited. But I have tried multiple rulesets so I have some ideas. You can look at my progress t...
