Slide show intro to FOGN

I have created a PowerPoint slide show to help explain the FOGN system. It can be viewed to give you a flavor of the rules and help ease a beginner into the system. This is not an authorized Slitherine presentation but seeks to explain the mechanisms without commentary. Hopefully it will get more people into the system easier.

So far I have placed it on the various Yahoo groups in there file sections. If you can't get it there PM me an email address and I will enail it.

Download file. click it should activate on your computer and the space bar advances the slides. I have kept the animation to a minimum.

Please feel free to download and pass around to anyone interested and place it anywhere you think it would be helpful

Hi I tried to open it with Apple Keynote, but without success (I did change the suffix to ppt first).

You should not need anything to run it. It is a PPT slideshow and self initiaiting.

situation where the rules are grey, such as what happen on fall backs when troops slide to avoid more than one friend, etc.

OK does it need to be more rule citing page number.

Or the overview appraoch like I used the first time.

For my part, I think it's the overview process. I learn best by experiencing and then looking up the rules for myself.

Your last slide show was great at showing the process. I believe you must assume we've read the rules and you're clarifying/illustratingwho'sw the process works in practice.
