Thanks!

I also found some ones from Venexia.

Figure Help - 15mm Spanish Sword and Bucklermen

I'm looking for 15mm Spanish style (i.e. armoured, Spanish style helmet, buckler) Sword and Bucklermen. Ideally they would be the same size as Essex or Peter Pig, but by now I'm not that fussy!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Edward

Having read the rule last night, I believe that there is really nothing to actually deploy. They are "somewhere" in the water and simply give you a number of artillery shots within 6" of the water's edge if I understood the rule correctly.

I believe they simply add one dice to the unit's other shooting.

Thanks Richard!

I guess, like all games, I will have to play a few games to really get to grip with the nuances and subtleties!

Differences between the varios types of Mounted Troops

I have gotten the rulebook and the first lists and am beginning to digest the differences between FoG:AM and FoG:R and I think I have gotten most of it. However, I am still trying to really get to grips with the differences between the various types of mounted troops. Particularly, Determined Horse ...

We're looking forward to getting out the Greeks and the Persians again. My first ever army was a Minifigs Later Hoplite Greek army in 15mm way back in 1983/4...

Iain, the Slitherine store is still showing the status as "Paid For" rather than despatched and I have not received an email telling me the books are on the way. Is the Store status still to be updated? Thanks! Edward

Hi Iain,

Any idea when your stock will arrive and the Slitherine mail order copies will be sent out?

Thanks,

Repo Romans

We have now had a couple of games of Mid Republican Romans against Carthaginians and are enjoying the game a lot. Now we have played a game or two we are looking at the lists and creating various options and have a question on the Mid Republican Romans. Specifically, are the legion unit sizes set, o...

How amusing! I know someone else, a wargamer, based a bit further north, whose name begins with P and who also uses Tiger as his nickname on the web! We also had issues with the different moves, in our case using battle lines and having mixed movement distances which ended up causing CMT's for the w...

Phil, (Tiger - I assume it's you Phil...) Tony and I have played a Repo Romans vs Cartaginians game, not using the starter armies, but not so different, and I found the same (being the Punic player). The Repo's are very hard frontally, especially the armoured ones. In our case the Punics lost having...

I'd suspect pretty small. If I had to guess Spartan Hoplites would be HF, Superior, Armoured, Drilled, Offensive Spearmen and that would make them 13 points per base (same stats as Hannibal's African Vetrans in the Later Carthaginian list). That would make a Spartan Battlegroup of 6 bases 78 points....
