Re: [BALANCE] X-15 flights (again)...

OK so right now, only catastrophic failures are taken into account ? :?: We'd need Ignacio for an answer to that. Would like to hear it, too. :) Some kind of feedback would be nice, and if it's just to see that minor problems do occur and are handled by the correct entity in-game. I've had several ...

Re: [BALANCE] X-15 flights (again)...

http://peyre.x10.mx/BARIS/BARISTips_v2.txt Read the "Reliability ..." part - it should be pretty much spot on for BASPM, as well. This is the probability that something goes wrong , not that your mission outright fails . With those odds you calculated, nobody would've ever made it to the m...

Re: First impressions

All mission configurations define a "first" and "second" amount of prestige, which looks suspiciously similar to BARIS. I think we'd need a developer to clarify whether this is also supposed to work like in BARIS (i.e. there are other, competing, agencies which can get there firs...

Re: [BUG] Negative number of Flight Controllers

I believe I put the correct Autosave file (1970-2) in the zip archive attached to the original post. If you need another season, I've still got the other saves available - please let me know which ones you need. If you need a save slot XML, I don't think I know which one it was. :/

Yes, something a bit more intuitive would be nice. Q1-4, months, seasons, something. :)

[BUG] Negative number of Flight Controllers

Hey,
just tried a few things with the new build and stumbled upon this. Note the number of available flight controllers. I planned 2 missions, assembled both "later" and after launching the missions, the number of FCs went into the negatives.

[BUG] Components, Ascent Step, Explorer 1

Hi,
I just noticed that the Ascent step in the short Explorer 1 mission is attributed to the satellite, not the rocket. Haven't checked all the other programs, but I seem to remember that usually this is attributed to the rocket.

Re: Sputnik reliability 0% - success?!

Well, it's most definitely not 98-99%. If you max out R&D it's definitely better than a coin toss, but it's not an automatic success. I always felt BARIS could be on the "frustrating" end of the scale, whereas BASPM seems to be more on the "forgiving" end of that scale, judgi...

BARIS features you'd like to see

Hey everyone, after playing the current build for a while, I couldn't help but think of quite a few features from BARIS that I hope will make an appearance in SPM, eventually, in one form or another. Others also have referenced old features (mission configurations, f.e.) they are missing from the cu...

[IDEA] Step failure screen

Hey, I think it would be nice to know what & where (equipment? which part? flight control? who? crew? who) a mission step failure occured. Similar to the original BARIS, where an explicit failure was shown and/or whether it's a critical failure or not, along with the "die roll" results...

Re: Thoughts on the game

There are a number of missions with shared components but yes you do have a lot of rockets to research. Some mission do share components. They all had different specs and abilities which is why they were created historically. We could look at a system that allowed more freedom of selection but we'd...

Re: Bugs so far

We're trying to avoid tooltips and right mouse clicks because that would require a completely different solution on the iPad and that would slow the general development and restrict how many features we can implement, so any design issues are trying to be solved in a cross platform way. We could ad...

Re: Bugs so far

1) Cancel button at mission screen isn't working, (workaround assign full mission then scrub->lose some money) If that is the "unschedule mission" button, I'm experiencing the same thing. If not.. that one doesn't work correctly. :D I get an error message when I schedule a mission, assemb...

Re: Early Access

So I played the game a bit and I must say I'm quite impressed by the detail put into the various programs... Still, I think I've found a bug : when I launch the first Mercury mission (unmanned suborbital test), in the Mission Control screen, I pass the prelaunch step, then the game locks up during ...

Early Access

So, where do I sign up for EA? I see the updated store page & the EA info page, but the game's still listed as "not available". I want to get my grubby hands on this.

Yes, give the dog a bone! :)
Also looking forward very much to the game. Product page says October 29th - is this the tentative date for early access or the release version?

First Impressions

Hey guys. I'll just give a quick overview of my thoughts after installing the game and putting in 1-2 hours or so of gameplay. I'll try and complete a game ASAP and return with impressions (+ being things I liked, - being things I disliked, and o being neutral comments/suggestions). Installer: + doe...
