Re: Northern League Results Round 4
Yes Alan and Paul actually won a game. Has to happen to everybody eventually. I suspect it is the old filled the score sheet in the wrong way round.

Re: Flank Attack?
I'm going say of course it can charge it in the flank. You would have to wheel, which would be within 1 inch of the flank, so it wouldn't qualify as a flank charge. The first part of the Cav BG contacted by the charge will be the side edge. The corner is already in contact prior to the charge and no...

Go for it.
I'm painting a couple of hundred Gendarmes, maybe then I will be able to afford to field them.

Re: The wholly unofficial points revision sticky …
I don't think 2 dice mounted should be reduced by many points. I think that a point a base is enough so I suggest 2 points a base as 3 i feel is too many.
Over all they are better than heavly armoured horse. Better vs foot, in terrain and they are shock.

Re: Determined Horse over-priced ...
Yes just change the points for 2 dice mounted. Your not going to change the books, so what. Put a sticky on the Forum somewhere clear and add it to the amenments. Word will spread.

Re: Keils - Official Discussion Thread
I didn't say reform. Reforming implies the battlegroup that can be a Keil and is not, is in an illegal formation and then cannot make any voluntary move.

Re: Keils - Official Discussion Thread
But entering combat in the Impact phase, instead of waiting until the Maneuver phase and becoming a Keil again is not as soon as able. It could add turns.

Re: Commanded shot - how best to use it ?
One thing not so far answered is are they generally good value. They are excellent value at 16 points a battlegroup. Start your army list off by buying 3 BGs of them. They are also quite good at providing support (rear support) to mounted BGs as well.

Re: Regimental Guns (subsequent impacts)
Yes it fires. Below is a quote from Richard Bodley Scott from the Regimental Guns (factor) thread "But note that the RG counts for impact combat if ANY file is frontally contacted, even if the rest of the BG is already in combat. (A bit of a freebie, but that is how the rules are worded).."...

Why not not put the rule book on Lulu or some similar type and let people buy the book from there.
