Re: Idiotic Question
Thanks. I'm PM-ing VPaulus for help. He's apparently a Slitherine person.

Idiotic Question
Hi All,
I can't remember how to do this. Two years I was playing this game but had to stop. Now I want to get back into it but I need a download link so I can have the consolidated GS version. How do I contact Slitherine to get a new download link. I do have the serial number.
Thanks!

Re: Commander Sequel - out now!
Give me a mail, definitely CEAW2 is on our list, you guys were involved very early on when we started the work on the new engine, but have a serious look at the engine. It is now totally easy to edit and flexible through Lua scripting and the GS team is always welcome for a CEAW2 brainstorming sess...

I wouldn't want to pay for fixes but I'd be glad to pay for new content or features.

Re: "undo" button
I agree with you. An 'undo' button is needed and would increase my enjoyment of the game for the reasons you mentioned about zones of control.
Alas, I have a feeling we'll never get this patched though.

Re: I'm Stuck & Must Be Doing Something Wrong
Thanks, Jim. I've been playing for a year now and am still encountering new situations. For a game with simple mechanics it certainly is deep.

Many thanks to both of you! I kept trying to 'drag' the units around.
I feel pretty dumb.

I'm Stuck & Must Be Doing Something Wrong
I'm trying out playing both sides in solo Hotseat game of 2.1. I've been building units and leaders as the Allies while waiting for Russia and the US to become active. The problem is, I built Patton as a leader but the game won't allow me to place him on a unit now that he can be deployed. Plus. I d...

Re: GS 2.1 win/loss records--help up collect the data!
It's not just 'new' players. I've played a couple of dozen PBEM games by now and I still ALWAYS lose as the Axis, unless my opponent is a virtual newbie. It gets a bit boring. :) Yes, I'm certainly not a new player -- many PBEM games on all versions against many opponents since 2008. The original g...

Re: Question on Escorting Convoys
[quote="Stauffenberg" If you want to prevent your convoys or transports from being attacked while moving you can send DD's ahead along it's path to the destination to sweep for lurking subs. Sometimes you find a sub and you can then use strategic bombers within range to hurt the sub furthe...

Re: Question on Escorting Convoys
Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I'll have to provide escort at their end points.
Another question that would impact this: are convoy's paths fixed via the Northern, Central, and Southern route or do they vary.

Question on Escorting Convoys
Hey, guys, I've tried to figure this out and just looked at the manual (again) but I'm not having any luck.
Is there any way to escort a convoy along its whole route to its destination with a DD? If so, can someone tell me how they do it?
Thanks!

Re: 2.1 installer
I understand the process a lot better now. It is going to be a good thing that the installer will determine which version of GS (2.0 or 2.1 beta) you have before installing. Hopefully, Slitherine can get to it by the end of September.

Re: CEAW GS 2.0 better than Time of Fury?
Haven't played Time of Fury so can't comment on that but I did jump right into GS 2.0 without ever playing CEAW. Its a pretty easy game to learn but a really hard one to master. There is a huge file of user documentation available too. There's also a ton of good helpers and advice here on the forum....

Great. Been playing since November and didn't know that.Stauffenberg wrote:No they are not cumulative. Manpower level is shown in the tooltip of the manpower. The current manpower penalty is also shown in the tooltip.
