Re: Barbarossa '42
Don't want to be unkind, but the allied deployment around Minsk is not terribly impressive. You should play me. I can promise you some extremely unpleasant surprises. Yes, sorry I should have mentioned this was an AI battle. I agree that the AI is not very good. Love your comment about the Italians.

Re: Barbarossa '42
ARMY GROUP SOUTH I've always felt that AGS has had one of the more difficult objectives. Odessa, just as in history, is a real thorn in the side. Russian forces are however pushed back and destroyed as Chisinau is taken. Note the encirclement of the 15th, 11th, and 37th rifle corps - I spent this tu...

Re: Barbarossa '42
ARMY GROUP CENTER AGC has modest gaines. Brest-Livotsk is taken after the Luftwaffe is able to pave the way for the Panzers and ground forces. Just as the real deal, the Pripet Marshes are slow going so will direct forces around the bog. The AI loves to send its forces into this mess and perhaps thi...

ARMY GROUP NORTH DOW on May 8, 1942. Oil Reserve 1200 AGN smashes the red army across the border and drives to isolate a small army N. of the Niemen River. The cities of Kaunas and Vilna are quickly overrun and Brest Litovsk is neutralized. Riga and Minsk are the next main targets. The High Seas Fle...

Barbarossa '42
Dear Crew, I've been wanting to upload my Barbarossa '42 campaign for some time. The scenario begins after Germany has blitzed its way through Europe and after a successful Op Sea Lion. It took the rest of '41 to secure Great Britain and now the RAF is limited to pointless raids on Northern Scotland...

Thanks, I tried this in the past, but the size of the files that I create are too big to post on this forum - any suggestions?

Re: How is Vichy France conquered?
It was the Jean Bart - moored in Casablanca - going toe to toe with the American Navy - especially the U.S.S. Massachusetts. Think the ship managed to hold its "ground" and required the American Air Force to finish the job. There is a really good account of this in a book called "An A...

Barbarossa 1942
I have a great game set up to start Barbarossa in May of 1942. I would love to post pics of after action reports - Not sure how to post screen capture pics from my Mac - can anyone help?

White Circles
Was wondering if anyone could answer this. I have units A, B, and C that have just started a new turn and none of them have moved. All are adjacent to one another and are all bordering enemy X. When I click on unit B to attack enemy X, Units A and C get this temporary white circle on them. Are they ...

Re: Tank Levels
Seems like the epitome of German tank design should have been something else. The Maus was a logistical failure that made it impossible for it to get to any battlefield other than Hilter's imagination.

Re: Tank Levels
I still would be nice to know what the tech level number means in terms of tanks. Does a level 20 mean a Koneigspanzer or is it something beyond?

There is a book called " How Hitler could have won world war 2 - the fatal errors that led to nazi defeat" by Bevin Alexander. Check it out, against the computer AI some of his points work out.

Re: +middle east oil
If you just take Iraq, and not Persia, how much Oil does one get? Don't you have to establish a land route to the middle east to get the oil - E.g. thru turkey or something?

Tank Levels
Just a question about how the tank levels (i.e. the tech level) correlate with actual tanks in the war. Was wondering if anyone had any input on what level each tech is. Seems like you start the war with Germany at level 3 - which look like Panzer 3's and by the time to get to tech level 4-5 you are...

Mac iOS Yosemite Screwed My Game!
I took the liberty of uploading my iOS for my Mac to Yosemite - after this "upgrade" CEAW v3.1 is now no longer the game I remember. Units slowly crawl about the map during maneuvers. Is there a fix - I'm not that literate when it comes to the technical aspect of computers and would apprec...

Re: GS v3.01 slight modifications for testing
Just played through a few Case White's, Yellow's, and SeaLions with the new 3.01 rules. I find the modifications very satisfying. Germany has a core groups of units that gain level 1 and level 2 experience which only a unit or two gaining level 3 by the time France fell. England provided a great bat...
