Tank Levels

Post by siln »

Just a question about how the tank levels (i.e. the tech level) correlate with actual tanks in the war. Was wondering if anyone had any input on what level each tech is. Seems like you start the war with Germany at level 3 - which look like Panzer 3's and by the time to get to tech level 4-5 you are already at Panzer 4's. By the time of Barbarossa (which I started in 42 instead of 41) I was at level 13 which looked like Tigers. Thanks!

the pictures are just arbitrary - use counters and you won't be concerned :-)

I still would be nice to know what the tech level number means in terms of tanks. Does a level 20 mean a Koneigspanzer or is it something beyond?

German armour tops out with the Maus (which was QUITE ironic considering its size)

Seems like the epitome of German tank design should have been something else. The Maus was a logistical failure that made it impossible for it to get to any battlefield other than Hilter's imagination.
