Re: High Medieval Poland Campaign (10 battles) MOD

Hey! I'm finally back! Kinda... I don't have so much energy and time like before but... I have a new campaign to announce! It's set in the early High Medieval Period in Poland that is kinda forgotten even here in Poland. That's mostly why I decided to do that ;) It'll feature 10! battles. Yes! 10! ...

Re: Why John Hunyadi should have a campaign in a DLC

I am addicted to the excellent history vids on Youtube and the various historical podcasts you can find now. These guys are making high quality stuff that kills ANYTHING the corporate media produces. A couple guys with a computer and microphone out performing mulit-billion dollar networks with thei...

Hotseat in campaign

I started to play new El Cid campaing, but forgot to disable hotseat mode previous to that. In result I was able to move muslim forces prior to battle. I don't think I should be able to do that. https://imgur.com/a/sGe3BzH Also in Sicilian 1200-1266 Muslim light horse archers unit animation is to fa...

Re: Mounted Flank Charges into Infantry

Note that, in the case of unengaged spearmen charged in the rear by heavy knights, even if the cohesion drop is not automatic in the FoG2 series, the Net PoA is +100, meaning this drop is probable/possible. (Don't ask me about the exact probability of it hapenning : I don't know and don't want to k...

Unpack into:

Documents -> My games -> FieldOfGloryMedieval -> CAMPAIGNS

That's at least where I have it, on windows.

Re: (History) Caracole by mounted crossbowmen ?

I have got heard of something similiar to that. Thats not exactly caracole, but very comparable thing. So, in battle of Grunwald/Tannenberg 1410, cavalry of both sides pressed against each other many times and then they returned to their starting positions. The single skirmish itself looked like th...

Amazing! Can't wait for the dlc. What is here is great, but Muslims and Byzantines will add different, interesting armies.

Re: Game should add a plain selection to the map types

I actually think it´s pretty realistic to have this rough terrain in place. As said, in an agricutural landscape it´s gonna be small buildings, ditches, fences, areas with uneven ground, high crops, etc. What i think its that is not specially visually appealing to see somewhat perfect squares of st...

Re: Suggestions for revision of Russian army lists

The other option I think would add value to these cavalry units of Eastern Europe is to give the "light spear" armed units partial javelin ability. (I got this idea from the Hungarian Armoured Noble cavalry with 50% Bow ability). This would give these units some "hit" before the...

Re: How to use knights

Tannenberg is a somewhat controversial example for several reasons: 1. Długosz being our main source. 2. The fact that the source mentions that the Teutonic Order's guns fired twice before the main melee began would suggest that the artillery and some infantry were placed in front of the main caval...
