DLCs (at least in the beginning) have more lenient turn limits, generally easier decisive victory conditions and usually, very easy moderate victory conditions. Plus, as the others said, by spending more time in a given period, you get to know your units and your opponents strengths and weakness ...

Basically, if I understood correctly (still stumped at Vyazma, hehe) you take Moscow just before the arrival of the (historical) fresh Far East and Siberian reinforcements, and are forced (offscreen) to pull back as they arrive.
I believe the developpers have already said alternate history (like in ...

Simferopol
colonel level, 41 DLC beta imported core
That scenario was significantly easier than the two previous ones, but I think it has a lot to do with the composition of my core, very tank heavy (especially with the awesome freshly upgraded IVG and freshly captured T34/41), with one marder and ...

I won't mind a "capped" core force size. That been said, I like to have a large number of reserves/pool of units - and to have this pool constantly growing, even if I can deploy only a fraction. That way you can fine tune your core force for each scenario, "store" unique captured units you'll wish ...

CapitanPiluso, are you trying to approach/scout Kutno, or to take Piatek ? Those actions will trigger an enormous counterattack of Polish forces, and neither is needed for even a DV.
In doubt : bypass the Lodz fortifications (you can flank from the north, the south, or even better, both), and only ...

Hmmm strange you had trouble, I felt this scenario was actually easier than Piatek or Kampinoska forest. Although I guess it depends a lot on your core.
Basically, you'll need to field a ton of suppression power :
- lots of artillery (at this point in the game, in comparison, I had 2 towed and 2 SP ...
