Inconsistent Reinforcement Application in some PBEM games

I've played Fall Rot (2VAI) twice now, and I could have sworn that the first time I play it, the SS player received reinforcements somewhere around turn 5. Playing it the second time and we got nothing. I just played Raseinaiai for the first time, and despite receiving a message that I (playing the ...

Re: Map Scale and Size/Make Up of Units

There are giant flagpoles sticking "hundreds of feet" into the air. There is a colossal tank that the town could barely contain and which would cover almost the entire airfield. Yet there are soldiers who are taller than trees and buildings and who could not even fit into the tank individ...

Re: Map Scale and Size/Make Up of Units

I understand what you are saying bebro. Generally speaking I think it's a good thing that there's fluidity for designers where scale is concerned. For instance, I think I read somewhere in these threads that the movement scales of land base units seems out of proportion with their naval counterparts...

Map Scale and Size/Make Up of Units

I’ve been perusing the forum regarding scale and I am finding varied examples of what designers are using. I assume designers take liberties where scale is concerned. For instance I saw a post where a designer made 1 hex = 0.5 mi, and another where 1 hex = 250m, which I’m fine with, but then it’s im...

I'm still getting time-outs here and there, but for me it's been significantly better than it was a few weeks ago.

PBEM - Games in Red when they shouldn't be.

Sometimes PBEM let's you play an installed scenario and sometimes not. For example, My friend and I can install the exact same scenario and when he starts it, it's red for me, and when I start it, it's red for him. Same version from the same zip file, it doesn't matter. Other times, all is fine. We'...

Re: Login Difficulties

Ten tries with no joy this afternoon. Had to give up. Can't play if I can't get in. Any progress/timetable on this issue?

Re: No protection against reload cheating in PBEM++?

We track every download and upload of a game turn and ban players that abuse the turn based nature of the games. Thank your for responding. This is good to hear. I assume you only do this with tournament games? I see no reason to do it with private "locked" games unless they somehow make ...

Re: No protection against reload cheating in PBEM++?

I was thinking the same thing. I play with friends so it's not a big deal. In fact we have an agreement that you are allowed to "replay" ONCE due to a legitimate mis-click, AND you must do your best to duplicate your play up to that point. Generally speaking we consider mis-clicks to be or...

Re: Login Difficulties

Same problem here. Over the last few weeks logins seem to fail more than not. The folks I play with confirm that logging in is an inconsistent endeavor, but it's been horrible for me. I've been unable to log on to PBEM for a full day now. I get the dreaded "request timed out" message. Trie...

Joining PBEM custom scenarios

I'm experiencing inconsistent (actually mostly failing) ability to play custom scenarios. In the image below it looks like the scenarios are properly installed, but though I and my playing opponent are able to start the game invite, we are not able to join. We haven't tried Bulge to the Rhine (that ...
