Bug in deploying troops
Hello, I only tried this in campaign fights, FoG 2 Ancients. When I am in army selection, I buy my troops, and then, if I have enough points to buy anymore, as usual if I click "done" the game prompt me with the message that I can buy some other troops. If I click accept, I go in deploymen...

Between campaign battles
So, I am enjoying the campaigns. I need some clarifications though, of what happens among battles. 1) how do garrison work? I understand that sometimes, not always, you are needed to letto some troops garrisoning a fortress. But otherwise, is there any reason to garrison? Leaving behind disheartened...

The satisfaction of learning this game
As of title. I feel I am just getting "normal" good. As frustrating can it be to see troops melt, when you don't know how to use them in the beginning, it's so satisfying to understand the game, talking in account all, using generals to rally, terrain, moar infantry, patience in setting ap...

Re: No Venetic?
Since they were renowned horse herders, I would say something a little more cavalry oriented. They have such an interesting story, from their escape from Troy onwards (which made them befriend romans, with a "we are like brothers" kind of story, comparing Aeneas and Antenor) Edit. I made s...

No Venetic?
I got the game yesterday, I saw that awesome discount and I couldn't say no. But no matter if ancient or medieval, my question is always the same: where are my beloved Venetic people? I saw there are Ligurians, Illyrians etc, but not my favourite north Adriatic horse herders sons of Antenor  (N...

Re: How to distinguish generals (and other questions)
If you click on different generals with "toggle command range" on you can see that they have different radii. My initial question was if that radius is the only tangible difference among them

Re: Venetian list seems pretty weak?
Thanks for the answer, I was expecting something more "specific" like "Venetian heavy infantry", but it makes sense :) Since only the raw pavisiers appear in the standard Italian list, the Venetians don't get them But Florence does get non raw ones though. Is that a Florentin bon...

Re: How to distinguish generals (and other questions)
Ok I got these rules, still the only things that distinguish them is their quality (and so their radius)?

Venetian list seems pretty weak?
Why there are only raw pavises (Florence gets normal ones)? And where is the heavy infantry?

How to distinguish generals (and other questions)
So, if I understood it correctly, the only differences among commanders are their "allegiance" and their radius (is this right, first of all?). Is highlighting the command range the only way to distinguish among a troop, field or great commander? Does the C in C have some hidden bonus, and...

Re: What does a red "completed battle" means?
Ok, it happened again. One battle of the tournament was ended, the other was 33% routed vs 19%. I received the mail that "game has ended", I went on the multiplayer menu, the game was there in red in the completed battles, and when I clicked it, the game itself played my turn and then noth...

What does a red "completed battle" means?
Hi all.
Multiplayer game, last turn I presume, I didn't play it because after my opponent turn it went directly in the "completed battles", without the usual mail notification, and written in red. Just curious of what does that mean

Re: Looks like I underestimate generals
Yes, I see that my tipical "watching from the back" strategy from other games is not viable, even rule based since most of their bonuses, if I understanded it correctly, are active when the general is fighting (the poa bonus I believe?). I don't remember if an engaged general still gives t...

Re: I just got my worst pair of battles ever (little rant)
Yes yes, absolutely, I'm not losing my head over it :P It was just a gamer to gamer moment, with a little sharing of a misfortune. Just wanted to talk about it with someone, almost none of my irl friends are wargamers. I would do the same in case of a spectacular flawless perfect incredible fortunat...
