CEAW 4.0 and Windows 10 64
Installed it and stuck on loading screen.
Have latest direct 10
Have compatibility legacy play enabled
Tried in W7, Vista, XP modes and running as administrator.
Tried every screen mode... It is a win 10 64b OS.
I am running Java 32b

1.04 editor problems
made a new ww2.map. Loads fine with standard 1939 scen and the game works. I modded some cities for production. I did not change the map itself.
I then modded the 1939.scn file simply to add more units to the game.
It loads but when I click the check mark to run the game it locks up.

error code on new 1.04 mod
made a new ww2.map. Loads fine with 1939 scen
I then modded the 1939.scn file simply to add more units to the game.

I own both and the naval systems are basically the same for SC2 and CEAW.

Editor 1.0 to 1.04 my scenarios not loading
Ok I have not played CEAW for a while (new baby and all) but I DLed the latest patch 1.06 and it crashed on my modded map before loading.
I loaded Editor 1.04.... crash on loading my sceanrio (map loaded fine)
Any changes that I should know about so I can delete them in the old editor to update ...

I have the game and think its well written and has a very nice graphical interface. Easy to play. Thats a big +. Oil and Manpower rules I love.

I was thinking of getting back into programming.
Id like to create some turn based strategy games since I have a lot of free time.
What languages are being used these days for these type of games. I programmed 20 years ago.

Just replace the files in the game with the ones provided. Remember to save the originals. mod still needs tweeking

Update
Ok I forgot to compensate for the oil in relation to war effort in production. So what was happening is that about end 1940 the germans ran out of oil and werent producing enough.
Now the problem can be fixed by increaseing war effort but this will skew the historical production.
