If the Italians are doing that well that they can max out tech, you arent killing enough Italians to force them to buy units.

Avoid insanity when modding, something I discovered

While making a scenario I worked on ww2.map ww2_city_eng.txt XXXXX.scn (my scenario) Well I went F(#*ing insane for 3 days trying to figure out why when I popped in my map it worked and then next time it crashed the software. So then I would reload the original map and txt file AND IT STILL CRASHED!...

I put the ww2.map and the associated file in the right spot.

I looked over the map SEVERAL times yesterday. But I will look at coastal units to see if there is some impact on water.

Thanks for the help. Had to up date my 1939 historical mod to 1.06.

1.04 editor problems

I then modded the 1939.scn file simply to add more units to the game. It loads but when I click the check mark to run the game it locks up. In the error.lo...

I read a lot on WW2, have been a wargamer for 25 years. Naval systems are one of the hardest to implement in a game wi...

Programming Languages for turn based strategy games?

I was thinking of getting back into programming.

Id like to create some turn based strategy games since I have a lot of free time.

What languages are being used these days for these type of games. I programmed 20 years ago.

Also any good places for resources and librarys?

FYI oil was done wrong in the scenario not accounting for war effort. I am going to research this and upload the new files. For now dont play with oil... sadly enough.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Well now it makes sense. back to the drawing board.

So because I gave Germany 7 oil and 20% war effort it produces at 1.4 PP and 4.5 oil. I get it.

I know that. I only get 1x the oil from oil I own (germans) not 3x as I should. Unless I am missing something. THis is in my mod and the oil is in Germany proper. (synth plants)
