Re: US Marines changelist preview

Is there a very rough idea of when this patch will be released?

It would be nice if the AI used them but the idea was a late addition so it was either just have them for the player or not at all. We think it's better to have them than not. Is there an easy way for a end user to edit a file and give the AI commanders? it may make the game more challenging withou...

I'd like to suggest an option where the AI was given free Commanders once per year or some amount of time depending on the difficulty level chosen.. new house rule for myself.. No Commanders.

German armored production was curtailed in 42 to build more U-boats if memory serves me correctly... so there should be a tough choice on which strategy to pursue..

It's not impossible just a lot of work and it has numerous knock on effects that are almost impossible to quantify. What happens if that area is already overrun by the enemy, what if there is no space to deploy, what if the nation controlling the units has already surrendered, how does the AI know ...

The system does not use scripts like this at all. This is to prevent lots of special cases that interact and create bugs and allow us to modify the AI behaviour as a whole rather than tweaking each individual script. This does make it harder to deal with specific issues like this though. Convoy shi...

If Germany send 2-3 Air Units to help out Britain will have trouble in Africa. why not have the option for the player to toggle on/off the Afrika Corp script so that Rommell and associated units appear in Libya at some random turn after Italy enters the war... The Axis human player could have an al...

Re: Question to a Moderator

Dear Moderator, I am most interested in buying Commander - Europe at War. It seems to me that the minor problems with it have been cleared up with the 1.04 patch. But...I hate to download patches (or anything) and don't even have a regular internet connection. I am new to Slitherine and my question...

Insults

It's funny how quick people descend to insulting each other... would you act so rude in a face to face conversation? I hope not.. so why do it on a forum like this dedicated to a GAME? it is just a game that is supposed to be for diversion and enjoyment not a place to come and insult and belittle pe...

You mentioned Cherbourg....last I saw it was on the coast!! 8) however if the system allows you to kill units in ocastal cities then why not inland ones too? Having 2 combat systems for the sme thing seems like an even worse situation!! my point must not be clear... if a uniit is in a city, that sh...

You have to have the ability to clear a hex entirely by naval and iar or else the Axis just sits garrisons along the coastline of Europe and the Allies can never invade since there's there's no paratroops and no disembark-to-combat. had not thought of that... i guess with garrison troops this strat...

playing as the Axis, the AI Allies just pound the unit in Cherbourg until it is useless... i had to rotate units out, but then there is no entrenchment.. perhaps naval bombardment and air support is over done and too effective for a strategic level game like this? Can air and naval power eliminate o...
