There are exit hexes adjacent to Marathon, Rafti and Nafplio. Look for the box icons with an arrow coming out of it.

My understanding is that any adjacent enemy activity will prevent recovery of efficiency, a unit doesn't need to be attacked. So an enemy just moving adjacent will do it.

The primary advantage is movement. Mountain troops get more movement points through mountains, forest and most snowy terrain.

I have now played through the Mlawa - Narew Line branch of the campaign.
In Narew Line, the Polish bombers that arrive don't move at all and then eventually run out of fuel and crash. Their team flag is white which I think means they are not assigned to a faction?

It would depend on the campaign you are playing.

If you finish a scenario early, you do receive all the RPs for the remaining turns. Except for the very last turn, which just seems to be a programming oversight. Victory point locations (or properly, Primary Objectives) have no bearing on the number of RPs received.

Deleting the options.dat file to solve the issue with the force pool window staying open, also appears to have solved the problem with the heavy infantry being deselected.
