I am trying to run my Gates of Troy cd on a new computer and it wants a serial number that I have no idea of. All I have is the cd plus cover, don't think I have any paperwork. I'm not even sure if I got it from here or Matrix. Is there a way for me to get that serial number? Thank you.

The Dardanians in the Persian and Roman grand campaign are pirates so the elite infantry you're going to get with them are the warriors and veterans. You'll find the units you're looking for in the pre-history campaign.

Choose the Pelasgian Argives in the pre history campaign and build the elite light infantry barracks.

I know i can do all sorts of nasty things to other nations by way of diplomat. What i am wondering now is if the AI can do the same sort of things?

In all the time i've played this game this is the first time i have seen an enemy AI build the naval architect. Most of the heroes are only available in the Trojan war but there are two available in the pre-history campaign, play either Argos or the Pelasgian Argives i believe.

You can change the files and add a hero to a campaign as well, just make sure to make copies the files first.

I've been thinking about modifying the eastern countries, they just can't hang with the greeks. Their archers and cavalry can be deadly but both consume just too many resources apparently even for the AI for them to ever really thrive as nations.

1: Can you only get achilles in the troy campaign and which campaign could i get him otherwise?

2: Can troy only be fought on the troy campaign with the small map and only the greeks and trojans to choose from?

So there is something i actually had to do in the game to add them to the build file as able to build the upgraded infantry barracks? If that's the case i did misunderstand since i thought they were simply missing from that file when i added them. I know you have to research the 2nd level copper ...

I had the same problem with my game and had to go into the game files to add the pelegasians to the list of who can build the upgraded barracks.
