Re: Why is heavy weapon not shock
It is FOG policy not to have special rules for different armies. I can't see how this can be true. There are army-specific rules scattered through the list books. There are? Unless you count special interpenetration permissions (which are actually mentioned in the rules), I recall only two armies g...

Nabataeans
It seems to me that these aren't going to get covered by anything other than the existing "ally" list. Is that correct?
Before I go through the trouble of researching and writing a full list, I just figured I'd make sure.

I've noticed others have the same problem. It means they've been short-changed as they lack the Impact +POA that troops with Light Spear have yet cost the same. So don't use them. They are not compulsory. Against contemporary opponents in the early part of the period they will be fine - e.g. vs Egy...

Page 72 illustrates the correct procedure to CONFORM when a BG is in contact with the front and flank of the enemy. The base which contacted the flank conforms to an overlap by the shortest move possible. In this case a simple pivot to be in side edge to side edge contact. When REFORMING the bases ...

We took the view that rather than complicate matters with other restrictions: 1) if you felt your cavalry could beat them then dont charge with the pikes 2) If you are charging with the pikes the purspose os to break the enemy cav quickly or force them away. So the move you have executed above is r...

Break off q.
My cavalry unit charges enemy cavalry. Fair fight, evenly matched, offset by one stand, but we each fight with all our stands in melee. They fight some number of rounds of combat, both remain intact. Now my Pike phalanx charges into the front of the enemy cavalry cavalry unit, so it's now fighting h...

Once the rear rank is full, any further bases will be in the rear rank - a new rear rank. There is a diagram that will make this crystal clear. I think the issue here is that a group 3 files wide and two ranks deep contracting by 2 files will gain 4 new rear RANKS. The implication of the use of &qu...

I am afraid the answer is much the same as how do I get on the beta :( You need to send an e-mail or PM on the forum to JD (jdm). I think that PM's probably work best. Just let JD know who you are and what your forum ID is. Cheers Hammy I've sent it to him twice, and assumed that he was either swam...
