Re: Allied Corps beta 1
Received my Beta yesterday and I am now playing the Tobruk scenario. So far so good. I am playing on level 3/5 so not too tough. I thought the earlier scenarios were a bit easy but this one (Tobruk) is quite taxing. It makes good use of the massive map which is impressive. The in level missions defi...

First 5 minutes
I`m off to watch football so here quickly is my take on loading the game and early impressions. Actually took me an hour to get the bugger to run! I have an Asus mobo and it took me a trip to this forum to realize that the Turboavhelp process was running and prevented me putting the key in. Once I h...

Slightly annoying bug
Not sure if anyone else has seen this but i have trouble with dead units still being visible on games made with the editor. I know there is a seperate sprite for bodies ,but my paratroopers (Brits) still stand there long after they have perished .Its quite annoying . It only seems to occur with para...

The editor is incredibly easy to use ,although i need some tuition on how to edit/write scripts. I designed a scenario around the Market Garden operation, Arnhem. It took me 20 mins to do and it needs a lot of work to it yet ,but it was great fun and i think a full Arnhem campaign would be easy to w...

1st weeks opinion
One week on and my thoughts so far. I really enjoy this game .I find it fun and a bit of a throwback to the old days .The graphics are suffice and the whole thing moves along at a swift pace. I like the uncertainty of tank battles where a tank may take 5 or 6 hits or maybe just one before it brews u...

Oh Bugger !
I was just about to post a whingeing comment about a silly feature of the game when i realised it is my own stupid fault ! I originally started the desert campaign but after 5 or 6 scenarios changed to see what the D-Day ones were like. They are quite tough and it was not long before i lost a round....

Back catalogue ?
Ok, i already said in another thread that i discovered BA by accident . The same also applies to Slitherine whom i had not heard of before, and so it set my mind wondering .When i eventually complete or tire of BA what is the back catalogue of other games like ? .Which is the most popular ?. Any fee...

Very good game.
I stumbled across this game last week and immediately ordered it. I was a bit worried about the "cartoony" graphics but it plays really well and after a few turns it looks like a genuine battlefield. The play balance is just right and the AI is quite tough , it handed me my botty on the se...
