Just kickin' the can, and none of you good folks know me, but I am one of the oldest members on the "sister" Matrixgames forums, and have always tried to contribute (when possible).
Old, ugly, and retired now, I am a former army Ranger, (U.S.), and come from an army family.
Much "on the ground ...

Nasty weapons! SLINGS
Just learned recently SLINGS did not always hurl rocks, but many of the pellets were the size of a finger joint and shaped like a large bean, and often bore a stamped inscription!
The slings had a range of up to a hundred yards, and the metal ones could pierce flesh, like a bullet!

Light troop capability
After reading some books explaining the tactics and abilities of the day, I have learned Light Troops were used for recon and skirmisher-type roles very effectively, and had the ability to avoid a superior enemy force by being able to "pass thru" friendly line units, just as artillery units can do ...

Re: Reinforcements!
I actually haven't played with reinforcements yet...if the reinforcements are just subtracted from the initial force, it seems like "reinforcements" would in fact be a significant handicap for the receiving player--is that how it works?

Re: Small suggestions thread
After having played several battles with this game...I'm thinking this the perfect game engine for the next era of "AGE OF RIFLES", another war game with a great battle editor and many devotees!
Suggestion...I would like to see a module to accompany this game of ancient naval warfare which would ...

Reinforcements!
I have been playing computer generated battles and am impressed by the forces it makes for both sides.
Last night, while I was given a large "war machine", the enemy army was given reinforcements, which entered the battlefield on multiple occasions!

Re: Game unplayable
Dunno which OS Lynz is using but win10 (factory install) sometimes "resets" settings in certain games and apps.
After every official "update", I always check them.
Invariably it also causes the Firewall to stop recognizing some apps, but my security device corrects that on it's own..

Mouse is "floating"
Field of Glory II..Love the game.
I have a new 6 month old HP Pavilion CPU with all the bells and whistles, with a "ball-less" mouse.
All drivers are current.
In game play, the cursor seems to float around and is not as responsive as it normally is, which makes me think it may be an interface ...
