Your work around sounds very sensible, but until an official solution is adopted, I guess I'll just put off trying out MP. I'd have enough problems just playing with the regular rules.

Well if knights can run over almost any opposition, in any terrain, then they obviously need adjustment.

IMO, they should be at a disadvantage in forest and mountains at least.
