Chances of a new Order of Battle game?
Since OOB has pretty much run its course, what do you guys think the chances are for another Order of Battle coming out? I'd love a new OOB with updated graphics akin to the move from Panzer Corps 1 to 2 along with some new mechanics here and there.

The one change I'd wish for the most would be the ability to stack more than one unit in a single hex, making them much more susceptible to losses in exchange for the ability to attack en masse. You desperately want to break the enemy lines there? Ok, you can stack two infantry units and go to town, hope you like digging graves though.
I also think that supplies should "travel" mostly by road/railroad. It's kinda silly to have entire divisions supplied through rough terrain, forests, or even mountain ranges without any road connecting it to supply points. Let's say a supply point generates 50 supplies: every hex on a road or within X hexes from a road gets fully supplied; units between X and Y hexes from roads get partial supply, units beyond Y range are considered out of supplies. You could have engineers or other kind of units building forward supply depots in towns and whatnot, extending the supply range further. Or you can attach supply/HQ units to your army to keep them supplied.
Those two changes would bridge most of the gap between Order of Battle and more "serious" wargames without being very difficult to implement by the devs and understood by the players.

basically I believe new games mainly depend on...'sells'...so first step would be to assure the most of us refunded them with some money, by purchasing campaigns and so on...I did my part, and thus for sure I REALLY HOPE there can be another new chapter in this LOVELY game....but you know...how can we 'expect' new games while we are just 3 commenting here about this?

In fact, I would even buy the dlc about the Korean civil war if the developers officially make such an addition )

Yes there is a great mod on this topic but it does not have helicopters and jet aircraft )

I think the developers are simply working on this Starship Troopers game or what it's called. They don't have time.Faranicius wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 2:45 pm basically I believe new games mainly depend on...'sells'...so first step would be to assure the most of us refunded them with some money, by purchasing campaigns and so on...I did my part, and thus for sure I REALLY HOPE there can be another new chapter in this LOVELY game....but you know...how can we 'expect' new games while we are just 3 commenting here about this?![]()
