Re: What are the victory conditions for Smolensk?
Nevermind, I just found out that the objectives are listed on pages after the briefing, makes more sense now.

Re: MODS?
I don't see this title lasting long unless the developers make it mod-able. There is little interest in it currently, as you can see by the lack of posts here and on the Matrix boards about this title. So sad, as I think it has the potential to surpass PG and PC.

Suggestions for improvements
1) First and foremost, make the game more easily mod-able, along the lines of Panzer Corps. Developer needs to expose the unit stats and graphics. If you don't do this, the game will have a short life span when compared to PG and PC. 2) It would be nice when assigning attached units to be able to de...

What are the victory conditions for Smolensk?
I am only up to Smolensk but I have a few questions: In Smolensk, I captured all victory hexes, except the farthest bridge, but by the time I filled all of the orange hexes and turned them green, I lost Smolensk (I blew the bridge). The battle didn't end when I held all of the orange hexes, so I am ...

Re: Cheats?
To make this game survive for a long time like PG and PC, you have to make it more mod-able by the users. I play both PG and PC probably 50% of my game time (the rest of the time I play War Thunder), even after all of these years. I have heavily modded both PG and PC and I play my own versions. I wo...

Re: Steam release schedule
Will you post "Germany at War: Barbarossa 1941" to steam? I have already purchased it from Slitherine/Matrix, but I would like to see it be successful and continue to be supported and be able to make mods. They have some work still to do to get to that point. I think being on Steam might i...

Re: Panzer Corps East - The struggle for Russia "Grand Strat
Does Slitherine plan to publish an Panzer Corps Red Army DLC, like the Allied one?
It seems like they left icon space on it in the last start menu screen.
Chris, I hope you are OK.

Blindseye

Chris If/When you need an alpha tester let me know. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU at 3.00 GHz with 4 GB of RAM, and Windows Vista Business SP2 32-bit OS. I am available between now and around mid-January. In late January I start traveling again for work. I am currently bored and modding "Jagge...

Re: Losing Core Units
Off Topic: When I get tired of Panzer Corps, I play Open General, see http://luis-guzman.com/, a modded version of Panzer General II. How many of you guys are/were involved with working on Open General, it seems I recognize some of the user names? I love Luis' suites. I love Luis, what great support...

Re: Next Patch Wishes
How about adding a Trait of "Unique" which would mean you can only purchase one unit of that type, used to simulate low production equipment, rarely captured (in real life) bonus units, and very rare units (e.g., Abwehr Ebbinghaus Battalion or Brandenburg Kompagnie), etc? I have one campai...

Question: How do I make stationary units not able to move?
Two Questions: How do I make stationary units not able to move? (1) This sounds like a silly question, with an answer of "just make the movement zero and they can't move." It apparently isn't that easy. EDIT: I should have stated that I have these infantry units set to class 6, movement 0,...

Re: Losing Core Units
I doubt anyone likes losing core units. How many of us replay turns or entire scenarios just to save a favorite core unit? I know I do. I will let the occasional core unit like a cheap scout or a no experience lower level bonus unit die, but rarely a multi-star, high-end unit. The new cheat would he...

Does anyone have the icons that puma made for the armored train, ships and structure? The last six in his image above? Or can anyone make those?

Thanks Mongo
Sounds like they started to debate it but never finished the debate. So instead of ranged weapons we have to model it using initiative? That is the only solution?

Re: weapons range: 0 versus 1
Hi Mke I understand how to do it, I have my own modified equipment file, etc. What I need to know how the game mechanics work. In other words is it feasible, will it work or not? So I guess I am asking does it work like PG did, however it sounds like it doesn't, per Chris' reply. Anyone know of a th...

weapons range: 0 versus 1
Question: Why do both infantry and AFV's have a range of 0? Tanks can stand back and fire on infantry positions from a distance, and not receive return fire. Shouldn't Infantry be 0 and AFV's with larger caliber weapons be 1 (or more)? I remember in PG that tanks eventually could stand off and shoot...

Have you started placing the Russians yet? If you get this done by Christmas, it would be the best Christmas present ever!

I just noticed that version 1.11 and GC '42-'43 West are available, so I just downloaded them. Will your Mod be compatible with v1.11 or should I hold off and leave it at 1.10?

BLindsey
