Next Patch Wishes

Post by Mordan »

Hello,

Here are a few fixes that should be easy to do.

1)Make the MP result list game in reverse order i.e. latest results first.

2) You cannot see a result if another result is received while the former one has not yet been flagged as viewed. this shadow result will not be greyed in the list s

3)Snow AND clear skies weather please please please. It is outrageous to see green grass during the Winter Soviet campaign (vanilla campaign, Ardennes Scenario).

Yes, that makes sense. A very common form of daily weather (especially in late fall, early spring, and generally warmer climes) is snow on the ground + clear skies + major waterways not frozen.

Make Transport-Units switchable like for the "Land-Wasser-Schlepper".
No limits for Transport-Units. (At the moment there is a limit for 28 different Transport-Units).
New Countrys like Finland, Japan, China.
Sorry, for my bad school english...

#3 has already been implemented, but it only affects scenarios that have been configured accordingly. There are several good examples throughout the DLC campaigns where scenarios have cloudy and clear skies but the ground never changes from frozen. This is accomplished by setting the moisture setting in the editor to... a really big number. Like 100. :)

1) What we really need is different weather zones to function like the 32 trigger zones only with the difference that they generate the scripted weather for the according zone...
At least 4 zones should be in W1-W4..to be placed thru editor like the current trigger zones and then tied to weahter action

2) Another groundbreaking improvement for custom design would be sending AI units to specific hexes instead of trigger zones...on bigger maps 32 zones are not enough

We don't want to give anyone the wrong idea, but as far as I am aware, the focus on this first patch following the release of AK is primarily dedicated to fixing a few of the more serious issues/bugs that have cropped up since that release. I don't honestly know if there is time to implement new game play features and improvements at this time, but I do know this won't be the last Panzer Corps patch and perhaps in the future we can add in even more features. ;)

Good to hear there will be more patches for Panzer Corps. I hope there will be fixes for the ambush/crash bug and funny town names. Several things i hope will be considered ( i have posted these before).

- More accurate allied oobs. I think the German/Soviet line up is reasonable but cannot be compared to the allied data. More uniformity is needed, especially post 43. US 76 mm should not have a higher HA than an 88mm ?. UK 17 pounder field AT should have more comparable initiative to the German long 76mm or panther gun, closer to 9 instead of 6 ...as examples
- Ability to deploy paratroopers to the ground or air and the ability to dump trucks if required
- A better way of seeing hero data during battle. 3 clicks is cumbersome for such vital information.
- A way to mod entrenchment strength or artillery suppression directly
- A different routine for experience in relation to troops. 0 stars 3 stars, 5 stars...while it may effect tank or fighter combat it makes no difference for infantry.
- Any additional features for MP would be most welcome

hello soldier for hero capacities you can rename the unit and you see what you want to know in one click
ex : Fw spot/ini1/att2 for a FW 190

key : alt + N

For the next patch (or another) dear Mr Kerensky : before a major patch with more units (,-)...perhaps switching capabilities improvements on airfields ? (there is a topic). reco mod, fighter , & fighter bomber mod for exemple for a Me 109 or 110, anti naval or anti ground Stukas...

After playing again for a little bit recently, two things came to mind:

1) Store the camera position in the savegame. I had a scenario that I was SOOO close to winning and didn't want to replay, so I reloaded about two dozen times in order to pull off a victory in the final turn. There I noticed the camera jumps all over the place - should be easy to address.

2) Write into the unit log from which to which type a unit was upgraded. I.e., 24.05.1944: SE PzIVF upgraded to SE Panther. Not essential at all, but should also be easy to do.

I don't really care how soon or if at all these things are added, both are obviously nice-to-haves, whilst 1) is closer to a semi-bug and 2) is purely a flavour item, but it'd be nice if they could be added to the tasklist.

I rather like the idea of that, knowing when the unit was upgraded and to what...

The glitch with hex names jumping all over. This sucks because I like to read them.

Warning sound or screen if your planes are running out of fuel next turn. It's very frustrating if you are winning the game and last turn you see your 5 star fighter have disappeared only because you didn't notice the yellow fuel symbol.

I second the para deployment and hero ui improvement things. Aside from this, we need zombie units...

Or 5, which is actually the highest allowable number.
At least I get a red number if I try to add a higher number.

My suggestion was somewhat different: there could/should be a "weather" setting that combines (a) snow on the ground, (b) no snow falling from the sky, and (c) waterways that are NOT frozen. This is a very common real-world day of weather, especially in Western Europe.

Those red numbers are a warning, but they most definitely are still accepted and work.
I'm not sure which, if any, DLC you have installed, but one example such of this would be Tatsinskaya.

Thanks, Kerensky. Patching the DLCs with updated AI orders and stuff would be real cool too 8)

You guys would be the Collective Fonz if you patched the DLC scenarios to take advantage of new AI orders :D
