Sorry Pippo, but I still see impact foot as having one blast to try & disorder troops then rushing into combnat, something a front rank of musket* does best.
Problem is the Portuguese are not being classed Musket because they are impact foot who volley but rather because, and history collaborates ...

Steppe in itself does not make an area viable to horses. But it nonetheless remains steppe. Zebras can survuve where horses cannot not because the region is steppe or not but because they do not die when bitten by Tsetse flies or similar parasites that domestic animals have lost their immunities to ...

Ottoman Turks and Early 17th Century Russian, Worth it?
Hi there,

First off the markers are AWESOME :) Which would actually suit the Ottoman Turks best (Not too much knowledge about them other than their military)?. Also with regards to the steppe cultures maybe something similar to the writing system that Genghis is reputed to have developed. Just not too sure ...

Hi all, I am currently waiting for my Rule set to arrive in SA (Which with our wonderful postage sevice could take up to a year :/) and have not ordered any lists yet (ah the woes of being a penniless student). I just wanted to ask how the different troops are based, I have the figures for a Early ...
