Chaos Tourney IV

The current digital league season is entering the home stretch, and most of my games are done, so I'm starting to organize the next season of Chaos Tourney.

Here's an overview of how it'll be run.

1. Number of matches will be contingent on the number of people who sign up.

5-6 two matches vs each player - 8-10 altogether.
7-13 one match vs each player for 6-12
14-26 Divide into two divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 6-12
27-39 Divide into three divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 8-12.
40-52 Divide into four divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 9-12.

Rookie players will fill in divisions in the order they sign up.

2. All matches will be potluck for both armies and terrain with both date and geography filters turned off. these are medium-sized battles so 1200 points.

3. I will generate a list of army pairings sufficient to cover the number of players. I will make up a list of player pairings. We will use a website randomizer to generate the distribution of the battles to the pairings.

4. Each player may request one reroll of battlefield. If both agree, an additional reroll can be done. A rerolled battle is to be set to the same armies as originally generated; only the field can be rerolled.

5. Tourney will run a minimum of 8 weeks with additional weeks added for battles over 8 to a maximum of 12.

6. In regards to other details, we will follow the rules and guidelines posted for Digital League play.

7. We can accept one player per season who doesn't own all the DLCs. All others must have all DLCs to join. Such a player will need to have his matches created by his opponents.

8. The default battle type is OPEN BATTLE. If both players MUTUALLY AGREE, any of the other battle types can be played instead.

There's not a specific time limit for one game. Like the digital league, you have a season lasting about 8-12 weeks, depending on how many players we have. you simply have to complete all of your games by the deadline.

The battles are all medium sized so 1200 points.

No worries; we won't be starting till mid August after DL8 season wraps up. I just posted the tourney info a bit earlier than usual as my own games are almost all over and I had some free time. The extra time also will give a bigger window for folks to see and sign up.
