Dracarys!
I know this is history rather than fantasy. But I wonder if I'm the only player who's dreamed of a Dracarys option to incinerate those interminably rebellious cities that just won't calm down - however many goodies I give them? Just call me Dany, and send for the men in white suits (or possibly Jon Snow)...

Re: Dracarys!
That is what "Suppress Rebellion" is for, just look at the icon for it.
There are 10 kind of hard problems in computer science, naming, cache invalidations and off-by-one errors.
There are also 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary and those who do not.

Re: Dracarys!
Thanks, but I've been using that option.
I was hoping for something more...permanent

I've been looking for that icon but can't find it. Where do I look?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Dracarys!
It's one of the 'Regional Decisions' - click the icon in the top right hand corner.
NB It doesn't always appear on the drop-down list, but it's regularly added as an option.

Re: Dracarys!
Usual solutions
Play suppress unrest, last 5 turns
Play disperse slaves
sell/disperse decision
religions decision, might not help.
reform decision if you have a very good admin.
Proscription - also helps on population pressure.
Park a few slingers on the province to take the top of unrest.
Place pops in culture, hoping the rest of the province will provide
Build conversion and loyal buildings
Build national loyalty buildings
When a uprising occurs defeat it, the population decrease by 1 each combat lowering the problem.
Abandon province
Play "Liberate region"
Get glorious to increase loyalty.
Stop them getting raided.
Did I forget anything?

Re: Dracarys!
Thanks Surt, there's at least a couple of things in there that I haven't tried. And the 'abandon province' option had completely passed me by!
