Looking for Opponents in Stirling

Post by ChrisH »

I'm looking for Field of Glory opponents in Stirling.

I have two 15mm armies, Sassanid and Late Roman, a 25mm Sassanid army and several 20mm armies.

Stirling isn't far from Perth is it? I am sure I remember driving past on my way to Luncarty a few times. There are a fair number of FoG players up there.

Just to back up what Hammy said - The Perth Wargames club meets every Thursday from7pm to 1030pm and we have a strong group of FOG players who have played it since playtesting time. We meet at the Luncarty Football Club premises which is a couple of minutes off the Perth Inverness road and would probably take you about 35 to 40 minutes from Stirling and is dual carriageway all the way.
If you are interested drop me a line when you would like to come and we can ensure you get a game. We already have members who travel from Dunfermline, Dundee etc so tend to be a bit of a magnet for players from other areas.

I should also have added that we are looking to have a one day challenge tournament in Luncarty on Sunday 3rd May with each player having three games and a curry. Not necessarily in that order!!
Quite a lot of players from all round Scotland signing up already.

John,

Thanks for letting me know about Perth.

Thursday night is not good for me because it clashes with the Stirling club but I may try and make it up to Perth one week.

What scale is the 3rd May event?

Do you have any other weekend club days?

Perth is mainly a 15mm club as far as FOG goes although i have a lot of 25mms for other periods. The 3rd May event will be 15mm.
Glad to see you at the club anytime you feel like a game.
We sometimes arrange Sunday club days but not often.
By the way if you look at the BHGS site you will see the Scottish Open is also in Luncarty at the tail end of the year.
